A long time model T owner in my area Bill Robinson. He was very helpful in helping bring my 1926 Tudor back to life. I'm lucky to call him a friend.

I have a couple friends in the area. My father taught me most of what I know about a T. But sadly I only have my memory for that.
This place is the "go to" for advice and knowledge.

I don't think this is OT... :D

The crew that meets every Tuesday night at the Antique Auto Ranch. Anything there is to
know about Model T's, and other Model T era cars is there for the asking. I am one lucky SOB
to live in the same town.
More people are doing it today than ever before !

Too many to count. As teenagers a few of us that had old cars were fortunate to have several older guys who would give you the shirt off their backs to help you. One day mom said "What are you going to do with all these old flannel shirts?"
Seriously, I have grown up with dozens of the most knowledgeable and generous folks through the old car hobby. So many of them are no longer with us but I find that same wonderful nature in most of the forum members.
I wish I could pay back for all this good will. We don't have many crazy teen-age kids around here these days.
If I started naming these old guys it would take the rest of the year and I surely would leave some out.
Thanks to all who help.
Rich

P.S. Burger, Say Hi to those Antique Auto Ranch guys for me. They have been good to me too.
When did I do that?

My Model T mentor was Billy Brandon, my best friend for 53 years. We grew up together from the mid 50's till 2008 when he passed away, we were friends for 53 years, I knew him longer than I knew my parents. He was just a couple of years older than me, but was way smarter. We grew up listening to the "older" guys tell stories about T's and got hooked on them in our early teens and bought every book and magazine that we could find that had anything to do with T's, Hemmings Motor News and Floyd Clymer's books were at the top of the list. He was my go to guy for just about anything mechanical, he just had that knack. I miss him every day. Dave

Strangely, you guys and myself.
No-one in my immediate family was T savvy/interested, 'cept my dad who very quietly supported my addiction to the T and all old machines. (My inlaws also did me service being interested.)
And dad was a boisterous, fun loving gentleman, full of PXXX and vinegar with a smile and a positive comment!
He was a carpenter, my brother is also. I'm the "old iron wrench".
:)
Since I lost my mind mind, I feel more liberated
