New home for old NOS radiator in the original crate!
Today I took my NOS tall radiator to the MTFCA museum as a semi permanent loan. It is in a wooden crate and appears to be an aftermarket unit. It is marked 23-27 round tube. They plan to put it in a "parts" room that is being furnished. Not sure what, if anything else they need, but if you have something NOS that could be displayed, you might check!
On a different note I also joined the lifetime membership group too.

If your radiator appears to be a replacement, then it is not NOS! It is NORS.

The fact that it is marked “round tube” would lead me to think it was an early repro. Still, a real old one and if it looks like something from “back in the day”, it should fit in just fine in the parts room.

Larry, quit being so picky! That's an unneeded snide remark that does no good! It's NOS to the factory that made it! The museum was thrilled to have it! I just figured more people would get to see it there than buried in the back of my garage!

Bill
I think you did an outstanding thing for the club, and I'll bet they were not only thrilled to get it, they were probably gracious to you, as well. You and those who have preceeded you in donations are the true heart of the hobby and an inspiration to us all, or at least to most of us. As someone who has never had the opportunity to visit the museum, but hope to someday, let me say that I will look for your radiator on display, and think of you when I see it.
