1915 Model T in New Jersey

Post by Tony1915NJ » Mon Sep 23, 2019 8:51 am

I am acquiring a 1915 Model T and have limited knowledge of how to maintain it. I live in New Jersey and do not have a place to keep it. Can anyone help me please?

I can't help you with parking space, but I can tell you about maintaining a T. Buy the service manual and owner's manual. Study the forum discussions and ask questions. Remember that it ain't rocket surgery. Most people can learn basic maintenance and repair.

Be very careful before you buy this car to determine that it is in fact a 1915. There are a lot of phony 1915 cars in existence all because of the HCCA'S stupid rule on pre 1916's. Study what is really a 1915, and know it well before buying this car.

Well, this kind of sounds like he's inheriting or getting one unexpectedly. I couldn't imagine going and buying one without having a place to store it first or not knowing anything about it.

There is only one Anthony Santullo in NJ. If it's the right person, the town where he lives, the houses are really close together and it appears that none of them have storage buildings. Mostly housing developments. And that's assuming he lives there.

Click below to see a Model T Ford buyer's guide. There are things in there of which every first-time buyer should be aware. My thanks to Steve Jelf for hosting it on his webpage.
