The tool Mike displayed at Hershey is a version of the coil points adjusting 'hammer' you see in the ford service manuals. It is laser or plasma cut from steel plate. There may be other 'tools' and there is ongoing controversy if you read earlier posts. I have no affiliation with Mike K or any products offered. jb

Dave: I have a drawing of the tool, cannot post any pictures since the neighbor's third grader isn't home yet. Nice combination in one tool to adjust coil top hardware. Thanks again Mike. This tool eliminates two problems.... The larger squared handle with covering prevents turning in use, and prevents loss of a second tool.

Pictures and dimensions would help those of us who might desire to make one of our own.

Without seeing it only thing I could think of is, a slot for adjusting the cushion spring was added at end of handle to make it different from what is currently sold. A wide slot might do both old and new style points.

I bet for many of us a small hammer, screw driver and the cushion spring tool works just fine.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Here is a link showing the tool. I believe the rules permit me to share a link. I received over 40 signatures on the petition to revoke the Vendor Discussion rule at Hershey.
The rule presently prohibits vendors from posting photos, detailed descriptions or discussions of their creations here on the forum. Hopefully 40 MTFCA member signatures will be sufficient to convey the message there are many members who would like the rule revoked. That's about 10 times the number who believe the rule improves the forum that I am aware of.

Folks with a plasma cutter, water jet or LASER cutter can make their own but will have to email me for the dimensions because I am prohibited from sharing a dimensional drawing by the rule. Others will be pleased to know it will soon be readily available.

Anthonie.....now that you let the cat out of the bag... What was your wife's response when she noticed one knife missing?
