My Christmas Tree Stand and Season's Greetings
Today I ran across my Christmas tree stand. Our friend Larry gave it to me in the 60s. The hammer marks don't show from pounding it onto the yearly trunks. I never used it as such and thought of using it for a steering wheel on some future project.
Best wishes for the festivities no matter how you celebrate them and what your beliefs are.
I also offered some gift suggestions for your fellow car friends.
Shown below are a candle mold and a coat hanger as described by the proprietors of some second hand stores. Best Wishes to all.

This brought it to mind that the Holiday season is approaching and an opportunity to thank all my friends for the wonderful times here on the Forum. Best wishes for the festivities no matter how you celebrate them and what your beliefs are.

Perhaps we could trade for something. It has some hammer marks and a chunk missing.

Re: My Christmas Tree Stand and Season's Greetings
Thanks Dennis, I'm not looking for any gifts. We have one of the later types. It works but the screws bite in at an angle as the threads are a little loose. I swear each year I'm going to weld some heavier nuts on it after the tree comes down but never get to it. It is fun to see the 40's version.

Richard, I sure hope you and Charley are able to work out a trade, I love happy endings to stories about incomplete cars being made whole again (sniff!)

Re: My Christmas Tree Stand and Season's Greetings
Christmas tree stand peddlers around here are for the birds.
Mom probably still has the one very similar to that 40's version Perry!
Best idea yet for those Wolf brand doo-dads.
"Wolf candle molds hold their string." "Telegram: ZAACY one each FWUEF XAYUZPCTY."
Oops, that's a washer for a steering knuckle pin on a tractor not a Wolf candle mold... Hmmm.

Re: My Christmas Tree Stand and Season's Greetings
You are too kind Dennis. I really did love seeing the 40s stand. We never had one that charming at it does scream MERRY CHRISTMAS 1940.
I'm trying to think of some more miss guided descriptions for the old car parts.
Just one more way to enjoy them.
