Hello Michael:
Perhaps others have already mentioned Mike Leibsak as a repro source for this brass generator?
Regards,
Scott

Hello Michael:
Got a good friend who just received one of ML's Jno Brown tanks back in July I believe. Super nice piece....an absolutely credible repo. I'm sure there are originals out there in good condition, but I suspect many if not most may be early hobby repos. I have a late 1950's T parts catalog that shows these were being reproduced at that time....doesn't say whose tank this is a repro of, and no photograph...price shown is $11.00.
Regards,
Scott

I would like to see a picture of the JNO Brown carbide generator that would be correct for a late 1912, early 1913. I have 1912 running boards on my Canadian early 1913 car, with a set of 3 holes for the generator, that have an equal spacing of 6" between centers on all three holes. I'm currently using a Victor generator that looks like a proper 1913-14 model, but with three holes that match the running boards.

Darren it could have been the smaller brass Jon Brown carbide generator that has three bolt feet?

Was Corcoran not also a 1912 generator supplier? Some late 12's today have a Black steel tank.....not sure how one would verify originality of this, but commonly accepted is that Black and Brass lamps were supplied for late model year examples. Also curious about the quantity of mounting holes, and where some 1912 generators appear to share one of the running board mounting holes?
Regards,
Scott

Apologies Michael....not trying to steal this discussion, only hoping this may open up the possibility of more options for your search.

All good Scott.
Appears to be a hard one to find.
Even if someone had a top to one I have an original bottom half with basket.

I have a nice original E&J with original mounting base that I could use, I don’t think they mis-matched like they did in later years. Possibly would trade for an excellent condition all original JNO Brown all brass generator.

You would be getting the better end on that trade. Unless of course someone had a brown and needed an E&J good luck on your search. I’ll be going to a swap meet and see if I can locate one. Send me a pm with your contact info just in case we luck up.
