Need 1926 Trans band fabric

Post by Mopar_man » Mon Feb 03, 2020 9:41 pm

Does anyone have a set of Scandinavian bands they would like to sell? I spoke with Bob's and he said that none of the vendors have them and I should check on eBay. I looked. Lots of people selling improved car bands but they seem to be missing the brake band.

I am staring down the gun barrel of this same problem.Regardless of how fast or slow I am working on my current T project, if i can't get bands, it wont run or roll.
You would think someone would be making them again.I read somewhere here recently that the machine broke that was making the kevlar 1's but that don't explain the scandis that I would most likely buy as i would rather wear out a replaceable band than my drums.

Aint that about double what they are listed for in our normal supplier catalogs? WOW,talk about gougeing. Chaffins shows 98 bucks, 105 at Langs.I know those suppliers are out right now but Macs has really jacked up the price!

....Due to the shortage, my brake drum has a *huge* valley and is at risk for cracking caused by a “SPOT,” or: “Stupid Previous Owner Trick.” Because we have the larger drums, I’m actually working on plans for a cheap and non-intrusive pedal-activated actuator; For now? My: “Brake” is my left hand. My actuator plan actually involves drilling versus welding; Hopefully, I can actually *contribute* for once versus beg for help! I’ll keep everyone posted on my experiment!

You can buy Nev-R-Wear Kevlar from the supplier. Red Hook Restorations is listed in the clubs supplier index on the home page.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!
