Re: Epic Vintage Ford Cover
Thank you Terry. Nobody could be more pleased than I. It's nice to give something back to the hobby. In the 60s the old car magazines with color covers were our best link to the hobby. Glenn Embree and Mike Roberts told such great stories with their photos. I never expected I could do something worthy of a cover until some Forum members suggested it 5 or 6 years ago. I stretched some canvas to size and gave it a try. The MTFCA officers have been most encouraging and good to work with.
With all the wonderful photos of members cars it is a treat to get a painting accepted from time to time.
Rich
My apologies to those who haven't gotten theirs yet but the quality of the printed cover itself should be worth the wait. This painting was previously posted on my "Just an Old Car Painting" thread. It was inspired by a photo that has appeared here more than once. With all the wonderful photos of members cars it is a treat to get a painting accepted from time to time.

Re: Epic Vintage Ford Cover
Richard,
I was excited to see the Vintage Ford in today's mail, and recognized your artwork right away. When I told my wife, "This is a Rich Eagle painting, " she asked, "who is that?" I told her and showed her the gallery and she was really impressed.
I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful art gracing the cover of the magazine!

I am happy to own a Rich Eagle cover. Norman Rockwell would be pleased. Hope to see many more to come.

Re: Epic Vintage Ford Cover
I can't imagine the time it takes to create this, never mind the depth of talent holding the brush. There is so much charm and depth in this art.
My only flaw that I see is why are they so clean? In real life, children are usually much grubbier.
Lovely work, Rich, just lovely work.

Re: Epic Vintage Ford Cover
What nice comments. I am working on another painting this month and it gets a little tedious. I go outside and shovel some snow or check the forum for a break from the canvas. The forum is preferable. This is where a lot of my inspiration and energy comes from.
Thanks to you all.
Rich
