WTB: Frontenac Oil Pan
I have been searching high and low for a fronty oil pan to complete my speedster to no avail. I found a couple but nobody wants to let them go. If anybody has one sitting around and would like to see it on a car going down the road I'd love to purchase it from you. I'd appreciate any leads towards one as well.
This is the final hurdle to completing my driveline and getting the speedster to drive. Please help!

Hi Shane, Have you thought about making your own pan ? This is the pan from my D O Fronty. It was made from a T pan and sheetmetal, not hard to duplicate. The Model A flywheel housing will bolt to the back of a T block. You will need to work out a seal holder.

Shane,
As Mike stated you will have to fabricate your own pretty much. Not difficult, good therapy for you too.
All the Best,
Hank

Re: WTB: Frontenac Oil Pan
That casting that Mike posted for the rear seal is my design. I just sold the last one I had, but I can certainly have more cast up. Mike- not sure where that one came from, but you got a smoking deal on it!!!!
You do need a full length A crank to use with this as the seal itself runs on the oil slinger surface of the crank. I can post more pictures if there is interest.

Still on the hunt. Please help get this car on the road sometime this year if you have one or know someone with one they are not going to use and would be willing to pass along.

Re: WTB: Frontenac Oil Pan
A few years ago, I bought an interesting Model T engine with a Frontenac SOC-SR head. I'm not real sharp on Model A and B, so you may correct me. It also has what appears to be a Model B crank and was converted to accept a Model B dry clutch and transmission. The pan appears to be made by mating a T pan with a B or A pan. At first I thought I should convert it back, but have decided it should stay as is. I suspect that this was not an uncommon alternative to purchasing the Frontenac pan. I'm claiming it's a period setup.

Re: WTB: Frontenac Oil Pan
Looks like they may have adapted the back end of an A/B rear main to the rear main area of a T block. Al Usalanghi of Long Beach hill climb fame grafted the rear main seal area of an A block onto the rear main of a T block and put an A rear main cap on it to run it as a dry clutch. This was about 1975 or so and it appears Larry's engine may have been done the same way.
