Need to make parts for a manifold heater

I just bought a really nice manifold heater. It is straight as a die and the exhaust pipe threads are perfect. The screws holding the tins on came right out. It did not come with the parts that go in the floorboard so I have to find or make them. I have looked at different ones in the forum and other places and I don’t see one quite like this. It has a very small outlet that does not seem to be like those others I have seen. I can’t figure out how it would connect to the vent in the floor. Any hints?
I do have the sheet metal cover, just not on in the shot.

Looks like someone added a shield for the F/W. The normal heat pickup covers all those finns.
Keep looking for examples & the design will be come obvious.

I'll get some photos of mine for you. I also have an extra floor register.

I saw the old post and mine is like the top example. I have all the tins, I just took them off to check it out and clean out the wasp nest. But, as I said, it does not match the drawing.

There were several manufacturers of those types of heaters - the silver shroud one is on our'19 Centerdoor - photos coming.

Floor board install
Have one of these registers in my stash if you need one, may be useful for your install.

Looks like a prolific source of squeaks. I wonder if a flex coupling for the register could be made from the material they make oven door gaskets from. (?)

Like you could actually hear a "squeak" over the engine noise & knarly planetary ?

Rich Eagle made a vent for his heater. See the posts starting around Feb 8.

Thanks guys. I got a register on the way in the post. I will clean things up and get the manifold ready to go on the 22 in the spring. I have a Z head to go on it and a few other things to do when the weather gets better. I have a zenith carb and intake I might try as well. My 22 is a rolling accessory magnet.
