I saw a tire once many years ago, a fellow had it at a swap meet. I think it was there just for show and tell, not really for sale. The tire was very old, totally done-for, mounted on a wheel and rim. Through a slightly torn sidewall, it could be seen that the tire was stuffed full of old rags! Low speeds, short distances, on dirt roads, it probably could run for weeks that way. I suspect it was a bear to mount stuffed as full as one could get it, but if it got you around until a decent tire could be had? Why not?
Seeing that right front tire reminded me of that wheel.
