(Me, laughing aloud!) I have no idea either! It does appear to be a '15/'16 Ford style radiator and hood. However, even much of the suspension is not Ford.

This was a Ford product made for the U.S. Army during WW1. It was an light artillery tractor. The unique steering was so it could be driven in both directions with the driver not having to turn around. There was a double drum winch driven off an extended engine crankshaft in front to extract a field piece or the tractor itself from the mud. It is not known if this was a prototype or if production was curtailed with the war ending.
