Carburetor Control: "Krafve" Choke and Mixture Control
The Krafve is a combo choke and carb adj for the '24 and earlier starter cars. You connect the choke lever to the little wire, its locked with a washer when you pull up on the round knob. The you turn the round knob to adj the carb. The long shaft to the carb needs to be fairly vertical for that u-joint to twist easy, and be sure the lower yoke arm is centered right in the carb adj rod. The carb lock nut (brass hex) around the carb adj rod should be turned to allow the rod to rotate with ease, but not wander off its setting. (Dan Treace)
