Permatex no.2 works just fine but so does hard setting no.1
RTV or Indian Headdoes the job too. So does Gasgasinch And monkey sweet.
The secret it to flatten the core plug enough.

Either Ford Facefuul Oiler provides muuuuch more oil than a magpost Oiler..
But....I think putting an outside oil line on the starter drive/bendex/cup beats them both and still does not require drilling the hogs head.

He would seek me out to thank me for laying out the route of the annual Santa Clara Valley Speedster Run.

So the coaches had some wheels the 12 bolt hubs while some had six?
Very rare car like that could be worth fifty bucks. Especially if it has at motor n transmission.

I have seen a dozen cracked blocks that still have the core plugs in them as the factory installed them.
Core plugs are put in after the the casting sand has ben removed after the block was cast.
They were never intended to save the block from cracking.

I worked for a car collector nine years.
The 28 n 34 Packard touring cars had beautiful new tops, but they can never be put up again because the back part that has the rear window has shrunk too much. Same for the ‘47 Cadillac and a few other cars.

I think .012” is a little tight for the top ring, okay for the oil ring though.

Most folks I know use 5-30 or 10-40.
Seems like 5-30 does a better job of running down the Oiler tube and splashing around.

I have ‘27 Chev spindles on my ‘26 T. And Chey hubs and 21 inch disc wheels.

I’m with Scott on this one. Never loosen the nut to put the cotter pin in.
Get a box of Chev V8 rod nuts and forget the cotter pins.
The nuts don’t loosen on modern engines.
If you’re worried that they will loosen then put pal nuts on after the nut is tightened or use locktight.

F1 ford has a drop center wheel and five lug nuts.
That trailer is a six bolt wire spoke wheeler with a lock ring on the rim. Late twenties at best.
Could be late twenties chrysler, definitely NOT from a ‘40 Plymouth pickup. They we five lug nut with disc wheels.

Back in the day cars had foot feeds. Tractors had throttles.
I put a foot feed on my touring some years ago.
It was either that or power steering. The hand throttle still works as before.

Get some blue or gray RTV, put a spot of it on the back of the badge and tape it to the radiator shell and get on with life.
Take the tape off after a day and a night.
It probably will be a beech to get off some day. So?
