26/27 Transmission Clutch/Brake Drum to Early Transmission
In the process of repairing the transmission out of my 11 touring, the original clutch/brake drum has worn lugs and I don't feel good about filing them. I do have a very nice 26/27 drum that I want to use instead. I know that I have to turn the wider drum down and use different clutch discs. What el...

Good job with the Arduino, I like you play around with single board computers mainly Raspberry Pi's. I own the ECCT (full version) use an itimer on one my t's both excellent products. Tinkering on old cars and computers is a hobby for me.

Nice find, by looking at one of your pictures is it fair to say that factory 1911 firewalls were painted black?

Re: Nebraska Leather license plate Value
Interesting information, my grandfather collected Nebraska plates and there are a couple of leather plates remaining from his collection. I took pictures of them a few years back, I'll have to dig them up. My 11 touring has three 27 Nebraska plates under the front seat spring.

Re: GOOD NEWS about 10w30 motor oil
I've switched to straight 30w Supertech, very affordable. Don't have too much to worry about in California, temps never dip very low. I tried 15w-40 Rotella but found it was hard to crank the t over so I switched to 30Wt.

Re: APCO Tie Rod end lube
My 11 touring that I got from my g'pa had APCO's already installed with grease fittings. Not sure if he did it (highly unlikely) but the front end is still tight after fifty years of service. I normally give a shot of grease every few months.

75w-90/140 in the diff, whatever I have on the shelf, engine get 30w Rotella, oilers get oil that's in my oil can (can be a mixture of different weights), Grease cups get Valvoline multipurpose wheel bearing grease (non disc brake).

Re: Model T coil tester advice: HCCT, Strobo-Spark, ECCT
I bought the ECCT with all the bells and whistles, with two cars I thought it would be good investment. Both of my cars run great, one with a roller timer and the other with an itimer. I also verify my coils at different rpm ranges.

Gregory SD is not too far from where my 16 coupelet spent it's first 25 years, just over the border in Brocksburg NE. Makes me wonder if Mr. Fickweiler drove to Gregory on occasion.

The Billings tour was on my agenda for this year but I guess my wife didn't get the memo. Instead I'm trailering my coupelet to Nebraska to show my extended family all the work I've done on it. I would love to cruise Yellowstone in my 11 touring though.

You put oil in them not grease. You put grease in the cups with screw caps that force the grease into the mechanism. Cups with spring lids are for oil.
