I have 2. If you lift up on the handle they turn fine. You can push down on it to reseat after it is turned and in place

You can get some idea from the average auction and sales data from this site. Search Model T year for sale and conceptcarz should show up. The data certainly fluctuates depending in the cars and conditions of the cars.

Hi Art, I'm not an expert but am tuning coils to TTF. I typically adjust between 2 and 3 ms and usually within 0.1ms. I had one set that started about 4 ms and I tuned them down to 2.4 ms.

I used Stoner Radiator in Quarryville PA for my brass 1913 radiator. Jack did a nice job soldering up cracks and cleaning the radiator.. He is familiar with Model T radiators. Jack Stoner 717-284-4512. 1018 Lancaster Pike Quarryville PA. 17566.

Hi Matt, Thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate what you Luke and others have done. the display is an oled display from adafruit.com. Cost is about $35. Can be cheaper from other suppliers. I’ll get my do to add more details.

My 1912 Torpedo and 1913 Touring with standard coils and NH carburetors do this as well in the summer. There are some earlier threads discussing this for early cars. I have had luck with advancing the throttle as I turn off the car and pulling gas into the cylinders.

I appreciate the comments from folks knowledgeable about coils. I'm planning to use the coils in my 1913 touring. I currently have 4 screw brass tops in it with an original coil box. I will likely replace the capacitors and replace the points with new ones in order to save the old points.

Hi Dave I believe the 4 screw design change was in May of 1915. I think also the size of the coil and the location of the contacts also changed.

I recently acquired what appears to be an original undisturbed 1913 KW coil box with coils. It appears to have been sleeping for a very long time, maybe 100 years. The parade will be on abc tv nationally starting at 9:00 eastern time. There will be cars from the Delaware and valley forge model t clubs. The cars are #5 in the parade line up.

I have an early 13 that takes the larger coils. I run the later standard size coils with copper tabs soldered on the contacts so that they make contact with the coil box. I also use a 3 wood shims between the coils.

Daren, here is another option to consider. I have a 1913 with an original KW coil box. I use later more modern coils with brass strips soldered to the contacts and wood spacers in the coils box.
