Take a chunk of steel bar, chuck it in a lathe and turn it to the size you need and mill the flats. That is what I do for all my antique cars. Elevator bolts are flat on the top and that is not what you are looking for. Step bolts have a smaller head then what you need..... Craig

Looking for supplier of accessory brake shoe lining.
Back in the 60’s I bought a pair of accessory lined brake shoes to replace the cast iron ford ones. I recently purchased a pair of brake shoes like the ones I bought in the 60’s. Where do I fine brake lining for them? They are 1” wide and held on with split rivets. Thank you in advance for the infor...

Re: looking for information about front fender irons
Thank you for your reply. The way I interpret it is that I should use the 3 1/2" reach fender bracket for the 13/14 year era. Is that correct? Craig

looking for information about front fender irons
I have a question about 1913-14 fender irons. I read somewhere that the early cars used shorter fender irons. I don’t know where I read it but please look at the attached photos. The pictures show the front fender irons that fit into the fender mounting bracket on the fenders. Note that on some the ...

Re: need information on rebuilding Ford coils
Sorry I didn’t get back sooner but my computer was down. I borrowed my son-in-law’s digital ohm meter and got the following readings. 13.4 3.54 2.37 3.66 3.42 3.44 3.53 and 3.59 using the 20K scale. On all the other 12 coils I didn’t get any readings at all. After reading what everyone said and stud...

Re: need information on rebuilding Ford coils
Thank you everyone, I am going to borrow a digital meter to check my coils and will get back to this later. I did find the magazine Dennis mentioned and am going to do some reading. Another thing, being that my coils are either brass or cooper top coils my coils are probably KW coils and not Ford co...

Looking for frame information
Does anyone know of a chart showing the differences between frames from 09 through 27? Showing number of holes and location both square and round for each year. The chart I am thinking of showed what year/years each hole configuration was used.

I am working on installing new condensers I purchased from Langs. I am working on 4 screw brass top coils, 6 screw brass top coils and 4 screw copper top coils. 1914 backing plate material
Does anyone know what material the backing plates were made from? I heard they were made from malleable iron. One of the backing plates on my rear end is bent and cracked, I don't remember being able to bend malleable iron that much.
Thank you.

I had advertised for 1913/14 rear end halves and he answered that he had some if I was interested. He didn't send any attachments so I have not opened anything from him. I did a search for him on the want ad forum and didn't find anything.
