Best bang for the buck are rebuilt coils by a competent professional rebuilder. It’s the only way your T will be in normal sinus rhythm. Re: Why can’t 21” tire flaps for wood wheels be used in 21” Ford wire wheels
Robert I get that but what’s the science of why it wouldn’t work? Why can’t 21” tire flaps for wood wheels be used in 21” Ford wire wheels
If the flaps/liners can be used in 21” split rims why can’t they be used for wire wheels too instead of the small rubber liner? Best John

Re: Bronze Shift Lock Housing on Ruckstell
Richard Gould ( AKA “the Perfecto King”) can give you a wealth of info on the Perfecto but as far as the Hall Scott & Ruckstell, later Eaton, first had ads around 1920. Later in the 20’s it became Ruckstell named after the engineer that developed the design & later bought by Eaton that made rear axl...

Muggy welding using number 77 cast iron welding rod will be stronger than the material around it.A competent welder can repair that. If you were still concerned add a truss.

Frank thank you for the information attached for others to see & understand the math used to calculate the proposed tariffs. There will always be folks that are reactionary in their statements even though they may not be affected personally initially short term. It’s no surprise that the “major” med...

Re: International shipping to be more costly
Tim I’m hoping, if the US & UK don’t come up with an agreement, that it will be based on the location of the company that supply’s them for retail sales. If not and it’s an aggregate of the 2 tariffs that would be a different story. I think it’s too early to tell right now. I’m sure we will get an i...

Well Dave, I’m trying to play nice in the sand box but since you seemed curious, in the USA that would have been George Washington with the Tariff Act of 1789. Besides being an “idiot”, your words, he was a surveyor, a commanding officer for two different countries, early member of the continental C...

You can use a step down socket to remove the bushing just use a step down socket that will just fit into the ID of the bushing but has a shoulder slightly larger than the ID of the bushing. Insert a long carriage bolt. Put the carriage bolt through the ratchet side opening of the socket. I use a rub...

Re: 1913 Cylinder Head
Look for square mold castings on top of the head. 1914-19 does not have them. Some 13 heads had a full date cast in them at the rear in line rear to front. Bob McDaniel’s head has that type of casting.

Could it be used to insert the electrodes on the sides of Frankenstein’s neck? Just spitballing here.
If it was bigger it seems it could be used to remove a crank pulley.

Put the tube in first inflate the tube (low amount of air) just so it doesn’t have any wrinkles. Now put your flap in being sure to fit it on both sides of the tube. The flap should not be bulging out locate the valve stem, pinch the tire sides together where the stem is and insert it into the rim, ...
