Thanks all. Dan - I looked all over the darn manual for that page - One would think "handbrake" or Pawl or control quad etc would have pointed there! Anyway looks and sounds easy enough. Thanks!

Thanks for the comments... Well, the plugs are good and run well with the points. I too suspected this could be the issue so tried gaps of .025, .030", and .032". My 14 (Sept 4th) has the same cowls you describe. But the font (kerosene tank) on both the cowls and tail has a brass top and black steel bottom.
