I think that has given me enough information. Thanks to all who responded. I did notice that in the direct replies and those linking back to older forum topics, the given weights for a bare block vary by about 13lbs. Presumably due to changes for year production models - timing covers, hogshead moun...

I do not have access to scales that can weigh that much. I can weigh the crate parts as I build it around the motor but not the engine nor the completed package. I can only weigh up to about 225Lbs.

I need to transport an engine accross country but do not have the capacity to weigh it (needed for shipper ). I can weigh the crate and packing etc but not an engine complete. Has anyone been thru this process or have any literature ?

What is the condition / do you have pics of the mirrors ?
