Kwik poly was a great product. I don't know if is available today. I think the West product might be close to the same.

I hope you don't have another problem with the fourth main not getting oil as you said you pulled it home. Hopefully it wasn't to far and fast.

Re: Teflon Tape

EZ turn aviation fuel lube works well. It's great on petcocks on the tapered seats. A bar of soap will work to seal a gas leak but I feel more confident in the fuel lube. Works well on some gaskets as well and they can be used over.

Re: Sure Stop Disk Brake Reservoir Mounting Ideas

You could fabricate your own reservoir from brass, copper or steel to blend into an area. Might need a dipstick to check the level or add a slight glass to it.

No cutout. It actually has an Intake muffler as that one cylinder is a big thumper. David You'll have to stop by next time you're in the area. The New London run is a great time put on by alot of hard working nice people. I do have a Cadillac and a Maxwell that qualifies for that run too. Might be a...

I'll try to show him how to polish the brass first maybe. He enjoys hearing the horns honk on the cars. When people ask me if it's a model T I do tell them yes it is. Oldsmobile also made a model N and a Curved Dash in 1904 beat Henry on that too.

Re: Cotter pins tips

The early automobile pins are a bit harder to come buy or make as the Eye is round and the ends are the same length. Making them much harder to get a hold of to bend over. On the newer pins that most are use to that are in a tight spot I take a flat blade screw driver and cut a slot in the end of it...

Re: Sandblasting Equipment

I would recommend a pressure fed blast cabinet. You will use much less air and a much better and faster result. You will only have one hose with a nozzle on it that makes it easier to handle and get into tight areas than the most common siphon type cabinets.
