Thanks Mark, I've moved it to the general forum. The way it's worded I thought this was the forum for technical help with the car and he General was for other stuff unrelated to Model t's. Thanks again.

Kingston Carb Adjustment
I'm trying to set this Kingston Carb, however, it wants to idle at a fast speed. I've cleaned it out and replaced the original needle/seat with the new ball bearing style. It wouldn't adjust right. I recently went back to the original needle/seat and it still idles fast. When I first started, I set ...

Re: Blockley Tires
Thanks Peter for the comparsion pics! I defiantly see the difference. Im going to take the tire off this week to take a look. I decided and waiting for quotes for one new blockley tire as well as American vintage rims quote for a new rim. The plan is to slowly replace the other three rims over the n...

Re: Blockley Tires
I suspected the rim, but can a rim become sharp over time? Reason I ask is the old tires must have been at least 30yrs old (15yrs non driven) before I got the car. I've had the car five years and been driving on the old tires since I purchased the car. I reached out to the company to see if by chanc...

Blockley Tires
I purchased 4 Blockely tires this past summer and really like them. However, one tire the bead seems to have seperated. I sent two separate emails, one with a picture, to Blockley and have not heard from them to date. Im curious to know if others have had this same problem, lack of communication fro...

Stromberg OF book
Hi everyone! I had heard Stan Howe passed away a few months back, a great loss to the hobby! I had emailed him just before covid and he mentioned he had a written book on the Stromberg OF to purchase. Does anyone have a copy or maybe an idea where I might be able to purchase the manual?
Thanks

Re: Timing
Daniel, that makes sense to me! I'm going to put old timer back on and see if the skip is still there. The only reason I changed the timer, is because the little spring had fallen off last year causing the skipping. So ehen it happened again first thing I checked was the roller spring but it was in ...

The engine seems a little rough. This is what I've done so far: new head gasket all coils rebuilt and calibrated by Erik Larson, rebuilt coil box, new X plugs, and new New day timer, flushed fuel tank, line and carb. After all this, it still has a "pop" to it when it idles. I drove around one block,...

roof material
What type of top/roof material was used in 1924? I have a '24 Depot Hack, the old canvas vinyl appears to be the "pinpoint" canvas version which Haartz makes. But the description on their page states, it's popular for cars froom the 1950's to the 1990's. I was looking to get something closer to the ...

hood alignment/clamps
My hood doesn't want to line up with firewall. I've taken the radiator off at least twice before and never had this problem, unless I never noticed it. When I go to clamp down the side the curved upper part wants to buckle up. If I don't let it buckle up then there is an inch gap when clamped. We re...

Numbers on Engine
My "T" is registered as a '24 most likely due to the rear of the head has being stamped 3 24. However, the engine number seems to fall with in May of 1925. My question is to the left of the water inlet is stamped "M1", does anyone know what this means?
