Re: What have you done with your T in December
IMG_2856.JPG Got new E-brake linings on the speedster. Pulled the carb of the 15 Touring to discover that the float was set about an 1/8" to high. reset to 1/4". Also discovered there was no gasket between float bowl and carb body. Glad I had one. Carb reinstalled back on car. Now in the middle of ...

I have used a product called Evaporust with get success. Only attacks the rust and neutralizes the rust so it does not start again.

Re: Vinegar radiator flush question
My 2 cents on the use of Thermocure. I used it on my speedster last winter per the instructions. Worked great in cleaning out the block. What came out was quite interesting. However, I have a Livingston, honeycomb radiator, and though the Thermocure did its job in busting up the rust into very fine ...

Flushed a very plugged up radiator. About 4 hours of water on and off through both ends.

I got a NOS gasket for my C-35 head from Olson's Gasket in Washington.
Phone: 360-871-1207
Not cheap, but if want original he's the only place I found.
Good luck

Re: Rajo-head questions
I have the same head on my 26 Speedster. Anyone have a good way to get to the 5 bolts that are behind the exhaust/intake manifold for a re-torque? I have a very expensive NOS copper gasket and would hate to remove the manifold for re-torque. Thanks

Re: Speedster for only $39,500!
Note single port intake. That is on the low end of RAJO heads. I have a RAJO on my speedster that has the 2 port intake. Also the top end RAJO head would have exhaust on the opposite side. Not questioning the 100 mph claim, but think it is possible. I feed my RAJO with a Rayfield UF carb and run a d...

Whatever tires you decide to buy, check out Summit Racing. All orders over $100 is free shipping all the time. Yes they do carry a number of tires for Ts. Got two sets of Universals (plus flaps and tubes) from them the last couple of years.

I have run both the Motorcraft F11 and Autolite 3095 in both my Ts. The F11 just seems to run a little better than the 3095. At least in my Ts. Both cost about the same.

Re: Status of New Fuel Tanks
Couple months back I too was in search for a round tank. Called all the normal "big" vendors with the same response...get in line. Then I called Bob's out of Rockford. The answer I got was music to my ears...sure we got plenty. 3 days later I was installing my new tank. Thank goodness the old one on...

Re-torque of RAJO head
I recently put the RAJO head back on the motor and ran it twice for about 15 minutes each (on jack stands) in the shop. My question is, when I go to re-torque the head bolts, should I do this cold or after allowing motor to come to temp? I'm going to 45 ft lbs as a final setting. Thanks

Re: Starting fluid. Yes or no
For the first time ever my 15 did not want to start this Spring. After checking everything, I decided it might be a spec of something in the carb. Though I had starting fluid handy, I decided to pour a small amount of gas into no. 1 cylinder. A roll or two and she came to life. I would use starting ...

The "cap" I am referring to is the one to the left in your picture (on the axle tube). Not the cap for the grease cup.

Re: Grease cup: OK to shorten the post?
Can you use the cap from the one you removed (or extra one laying around)? I use a number of the zerk kind and have never seen one with a post in it. Also, do you pull the cap and fill the cavity completely? I usually just give it a couple of pumps from the gun.

Battery cable size
I have read to run 1 gauge wire for my 6 volt system. However, 1 gauge is tough to find locally. I can find 2 gauge easy enough. Is anyone running 2 gauge? How does it work for you? I have been running 4 gauge, but the starter still lacks. The starter has been rebuilt. Thanks

Re: Digital only MTFCA memberships
I would be all in favor of having the option for a digital copy of the magazine. Many years back the NRA made the switch for a digital option, which I did. A digital copy gives me many options when it comes to saving, labeling, printing, etc. My vote would be to offer this option.

Re: Brass radiator... clear coat?
Greg- Yes I have them for radiator and all my lights. Mine are a light canvas on outside and flannel lined on inside. I think the canvas is just "old school". I know MACS sells a set, but is for up to a 1914 so it also includes a cover for the carbide generator. Don't know if you need that or not. Y...

Re: Brass radiator... clear coat?
I have a complete set of cotton/canvas covers for all my brass parts. 1915 Touring. They work great in prolonging a nice polish job. When my dad owned the car and living on the East coast of Florida, I was impressed on how long the brass looked good. Sets or individual covers can be purchased at the...
