Is it possible to make the seat material (leather?) more pliable?
I would think that sitting on it in its current condition would destroy it.
If I were lucky enough to have it I wouldn't restore it but clean it up and drive it like it is.

wood wheel hub bolt torque

I am replacing the brake drum on a wood wheel and am not sure how tight to make the new nuts.

For years I have used Aviation Permatex which comes in a can as a thick liquid.
It appears to be alcohol based as it cleans up with alcohol.
Never gets hard and seems to seal well.
I also use a silk thread between case halves on aircraft engines.

I gave up and ordered rubber stem tubes.
My neighbor and I ruined two tubes today and I ordered flaps to maybe help.
I'm 80 and he is only 60 with mucho strength.

I had been trying for over a month to mount my new excelsior tires.

if you can settle for 50 weight Aeroshell aviation oil is available in compounded (detergent) and straight mineral oil. For some archaic reason it is called Aeroshell 100. You might look into this. That is definitely a handy wrench. I have an old bent and beat up one that I have been using on my 15's wheels.
It works on the hub caps and the threaded bearings. Not sure what the orifices are good for?
Maybe some one out there can update us?

I would like to buy four number 777 valve stems for my 30X3.5 tubes.
I think that they will fit through the hole in the wheel.
The rubber stems on my new tubes don't.

Not only does it not have the choke butterfly and shaft; but it is missing the clamp ring that holds the choke assembly to the carburetor body.

for cars built before 1928 they use the original sale cost to determine value.
I just registered my new to me 1915 and they decided that the value was as I recall
$260. They did the same thing when I licensed my 1925. I had the original bill of sale for it.

My new inner tubes have a valve stem that is larger than the hole in the rim?
Should I drill it larger or just use them as is.
I thing that the old tubes had the same problem but were installed that way.

The tires on my 15 Runabout have run the course and need to be replaced I had one blow a hole in the side while just sitting. The fabric is rotten. Since you were able to drill the first hole the area around the hole may have work hardened and you can try
annealing the area with an oxy/acetylene torch.

Only a guess but lower temperatures involved in the casting process.

My hood is after market and doesn't have the plates.
I ordered them from Langs and have them.
They don't fit correctly at the bottom and I can't see why Henry would have used them.

Would the 15/16 steel hoods have these plates?
They don't seem to be needed.
I can see them on an aluminum hood because it is softer and could wear.

My 15 came with the front fenders unattached so I almost finished drilling and bolting my left fender on.
