Here’s a photo of one at a Ford Factory in use setting up starters and generators.
If you look at the left side of the photo you will see the first version of this tester with a wood legged base.

You will just need to only if the car is negative or positive ground.
That’s really all that’s necessary. The diode just passes current in one direction only.

The coil vibrator and upper bridge nuts are 12-32. I buy thousands a a time with other rebuilders and vendors. They are custom made from the Ford print. The taps and dies are available from several vendors. I believe I purchased mine from KB tools. Dean made me a tool for shim washers and it works g...
