From actual experience the tudor will give you leg room the fordor will not

Thank you for all of the answers i will let him know they are a small drum brake he has on his car he got in a big hurry and bought rm brakes i mentioned ac brakes to him.

i have a friend with hayes wire wheels can he put rocky mountain brakes on the car using the existing drum riveted to the wire wheels or would ac brakes be the answer i would help him but i have no knowledge about this set up.

I have 4 new ones on my car as well as fitting them to another car and as Alan said they are the easiest clincher tire i have ever mounted.

Steve is not only well and home but we were treated to a visit by him at the mtfca board meeting where received a great award congrats Steve.

Don i certainly hope it can worked out you have been a tremendous help in my 26 fordor we talk frequently so you know who I am your work is too fine to not have people be able to see it.

It is your car do as you wish and as many others have pointed out not one car out there is absolutely correct as it was built unless it is an unrestored original I call guys like that clipboard clowns and could care less what they think but they think it makes them important.

I am making some adjustment in the seat back padding and seat cushions first to get it all in to fit properly at that time i will try it again i could get in i just find the wheel too close but i have not come to decision yet i will let folks know what i do and how if anything.

I have seen wood moulding on top of the doors of modelt tourings i know they were an accessory anyone have any patterns or does someone out there make them.

Keith thank you i thought about the electric shut off valve it would be the best solution i assume the ones from snyders are good ones i have heard people say they get really hot which is why i was reluctant about them.

On a 1927 fordor can you shut off the fuel tank valve if you lit the seat is there enough room between the seat frame and tank to do this

I run the disc brakes from Birdhaven they make them these are not always just a bolt up operation but if installed properly they are great.

Dick i had the exact same issue over forty years ago i was outside mowing my little boy came and said daddy your car is smoking, i have a cut off on all the older vehicles i have just for the very reason you described.

I suggest a 1/2" open end wrench in your tool box and forget about a switch. We dont have battery cut off switches on modern cars but they do have fuses, thats what I would recommend to anyone wanting to improve electrical safety to thier model T, add a fuse, ditch the cut off switch. A lot of T owners who either don't want to fool with getting a mag set right, or want more speed from a lighter flywheel, eliminate the magnets, but use the scoops that are available from vendors to splash the oil around. If magnets are not left, or scoops are not used, the ring gear will no catch ...

My 1927 engine will not use the magneto but bosch front plate distributor any reason not to remove the magnets and lighten the flywheel the crank has dunn counterbalances.

On the clutch which is better the watts clutch or the gm turbo discs. The transmission will have a floating trans shaft.

as the spring sits on a level surface the correct height is as i posted above, would a reverse eye spring be different.
