Re: Hood shelf question
Nothing's ever easy, is it. This car is S/N 1499915*. I don't know if that qualifies as 'late'. There is nothing to indicate whether the brackets were factory installed or after-the-fact although the nuts and bolt look very 'Ford'.
Anyway, thanks much for the info. At least now I know.

Hood shelf question
These shelves are from a '27 Touring I picked up in Tallahassee. I can't find pictures anywhere of shelves from current suppliers that have the notch for the firewall/cowling bracket. The notch appears to be factory original. Can anyone tell me if these are correct? Thanks much. 27 Hood Shelf.jpg

Re: Stan Howe RIP
A sad loss for the Model T community. Stan knew his stuff when it came to carbs but more than that he was a great character. Sounds like he passed doing what he loved to do.

Re: 1919 roadster top question
Yes you got it right. Now that I see it, it makes sense. Guess I'll have to put the top up more often. Here in Fla. it's an afterthought.
thanks much.

1919 roadster top question
Redoing the top on my '19 Roadster and never thought about why there are two mounting holes on the center bow for the front top bow pins. What is the purpose of this arrangement and which holes should the front bow pins be in when the top is up? Looks like the top holes but ... I have only had the t...

Re: headlight wiring question
Thanks for the pics. Clears it up nicely. It appears the tube was part of the old type rad so would be lost with modern core. Anyway, I have soldered one in so the wires will stay out of the fan. Thanks again.

headlight wiring question
Working on a '19 non starter car. I have the mag headlights figured out. They work fine with the 28v bulbs from Langs. Question I have is the diagrams show a tube running between the headlights for the wires. I cannot find how this tube is attached of if it just floats. Does anyone have a picture of...

spare tire carrier question
I have searched but did not find anything that looked like this carrier. A 30" rim fits it nicely. I want to use it on my '17 roadster. Can't quite see how it mounts. Appears it should bolt to the frame but matching frame holes are not there. Was this an accessory that required drilling holes in the...

Different clutch shaft
This comes from a non-starter hogs head I am using on a '17 restoration. I am wondering if anyone has seen this type of clutch shaft arrangement. I have 6 hogs heads in the collection and they are all riveted. Anyone know if it's factory or maybe a clever mod?
