These sort of little augments are why I no don't belong to clubs any more. I stopped attending the local club when they started obsessing about by-laws. I don't actually miss it one bit.

Re: HOMECOMING 2021 LESS THAN 24 HOURS AWAY
I'm going to assume that the bootlegger contest will be some sort of demonstration of how much alcohol I've managed to sneak onto the museum grounds. At first I thought it might be a contest of how much booze I've managed to surreptitiously sell at my swap meet space, but that would be more of a Spe...

Re: VEHICLES FOR SALE BY THE MTFCA!
When thinking about the future of my cars, I often think about the line in Ecclesiates about not knowing if the next person will be a wise man or a fool. The next owner of my car could cherish it or maybe hot rod it. He could completely disassemble it to restore and then lose interest. You can leave...

Re: Why internal band adjustments?
Kerry, if your rolling downhill backwards at any reasonable speed, the brake band won't stop you. I found this out when my engine got staved for gas at the top of a fairly steep incline. It was exciting!

Homecoming Swap Meet
Hey, I've got a quick logistics question on the swap meet. I've never been there, so I don't know the layout. If I drive in in the morning with a trailer, can I unload it during the setup time and park it somewhere else (I see it says there's no trailer parking at the museum)? I want to have a coupl...

Re: Lightweight Model T Hauling Trailer?
My advice is to get the biggest, most heavy duty trailer you can reasonable afford and/or pull. As soon as you have a trailer, you'll find more things that need to be hauled. It's like as soon as you build a garage, you suddenly find more things that need to be stored in it. Here's an example of a c...

Re: New guy here....
Have you considered an AA? You may have picked up from the previous comments that 50MPH may be achievable with the right combination of equipment, but it's really pushing the envelope for a TT.

Re: Rebuilt Holley NH Installed, engine won’t start?
When you try and start with the NH, do you get gas into the bowl? Sometimes those little float valves stick, particularly if it's been replaced and hasn't been worked up and down much.

Re: What have you done with your T in May
I've only had one weekend in May so far, so all I did was pull the T out of the barn and turn in around in preparation to pulling the rear. I figure I'll lift it by putting a 2x4 across the frame rails, pulling the rear floorboard (touring car) and lifting it with a come along through back seat floo...

Re: 1909: How red was red?
I had heard the same thing that Susanne pointed out. I will add that I have a stored inside, untouched black '23 that I had to pull the engine out of a few years ago. I took the hood sills off and saw paint under them that had not seen the light of day since Highland Park. I was actually shocked at ...

Not a T, but one of my more favorite old car paintings. I saw this at Hershey a few years ago. It was done as an advertisement for Houck quick change wire wheels, for when you need to change in a hurry

Re: Engine installation in a TT truck
Everything mounts the same as the car with the pan ears sitting on top of the frame rails with the same pan. The brake shoe on the TT is quite a bit taller, however, since the brake lever mounts under the frame and the TT frame is quite a bit thicker.

OT - Model K steering wheel
Still sorting parts and I got this bronze steering wheel spider that came with the same batch of stuff that had the Model K coil (that I sold to RV Anderson, if anyone needs it). Anyway, I thought Ild better check and make sure it’s not also Model K before I list it as a random wheel for a speedster...

I'm sorting parts (to sell) and I'm wondering if anyone recognizes this coil. Its 5" x 3" x 2-3/16".
