Re: Model T Boat and Henry Ford....any photos?
Yes, the 24' Gidleyford would probably been a bit of a novelty.
Odd chance that Henry would of cruised on the boat on the Detroit River.
That said, there might be a photo or two of him on it.
Perhaps some other Ford executives made use of the boat.
Kevin.

It used the Model T marine power plant supplied by Ford of Canada.
Gidley also incorporated the Model T steering column, gas tank, Canadian sloping windscreen and one-man top.

Model T Boat and Henry Ford....any photos?
In June 1922 a 24 foot mahogany Gidleyford boat was delivered from the Gidley factory in Penetanguishene, Ontario to Detroit. The trip took 3 days on Lake Huron stopping in Tobermory, Kincardine and Sarnia. The pilot must of been weather lucky as Lake Huron can have huge waves along the eastern shor...

Re: History of wood screws and Ford bodies
Have to remember that the Canadian bodies were made by Fisher starting 1912. It is very hard to find any documentation showing when Fisher started to use Robertson screws on the bodies they made. More than one original Canadian 1914 body seen has a combination of slotted and Robertson screws. As the...

Re: Gasoline Gauge Part Number 25761S2X
Ford of Canada accessories literature AD714 shows the gauge available as an option. So, this should of been available for your ancestors down under to put on their Ford. I think the design of the sender was similar to the 1932-34ish Fords. The gauge itself was a glass tube with a dyed liquid vs the ...

Included are photos of the accessory Kirstin Gage (dash mount). The parts catalogue spells it "Kirston". The accessory literature describes it as either air pressure or float. Another idea.
How about wedging in a copper pipe/tube of the correct diameter. Then MIG/arc weld a bead along the rough edge to build it up. Pull out the copper then die grinder or whatever to finish it off.

Most Unique Model TT accessory ever made?
This has got to be one of the most unique Model TT accessories ever made. The driver has to carefully align the setup with the buried valve. There is an odometer type counter on the shaft to confirm the number of turns open or close. Note: this is on a Canadian chassis with the horn button on top of...

HI, Included is an original photo of the Messenger's on a car in Fort William, Ontario. 1919 Fisher Body purchase and Henry Ford
100 years ago William Crapo Durant purchased 60% of Fisher Body from the Fisher Brothers. Does anyone know when in 1919 this occurred? Ford Detroit was purchasing bodies from Fisher. Any idea what body styles? So, all of a sudden a conflict here. Henry wouldn’t be happy with this scenario, Ford Moto...
