Oh no ! I've talked with John several times and just sold him a set of Rocky Mountain Brakes. We talked at length about his health problems....so sad.

Hood Rods

Do any of the Vendors sell solid hood rods ? I just got a set of SS rods from Snyder's that are hollow like original. I know I got a set of solid rods for my Model A several yrs back and they are easier to install without risking bending. The catalogs I have doesn't say if they're solid or hollow.

What do you guys use to attach the switch onto the switch plate ? This one had small rusty screws which I know isn't correct. Came off my 27 Roadster.

Installing new spark - throttle rods

I'm rebuilding the steering column for my 27 Roadster..new paint..bushings and spark & throttle rods. As you can see I can't get the Pitman on because the spark rod is to long ! It looks like I need to at least cut the rod up to the pin hole ?

Its backwards. Easy way to tell is the "feathers" are on the wrong side. Picture a bird flying the same direction as your car...the feathers would tale toward the rear.

I had one on my 27 Roadster. It was attached on the passenger side pillar where the kick panel attaches. And yes you can see it from the seat.

Finishing top bows

What type of finish should I apply to the wood before installing the top material ? I have some very clear oak I plan to use. I'm thinking Marine Polyurethane ? I have a old can of Danish rubbing oil that may work also.

I've found several T Differential housings that seem to be NOS. Does the I.D measurement look correct for a new housing ? There are no grooves or worn areas and some had hand tags attached.

I can tell you I've dealt with Don Lang personally and he will treat you right. I'll probably be ordering the upholstery for my 27 Roadster from him. How much difference are there from the kit from Langs and a kit from Classtique ?

Ford Sign

I got this from a friend who bought obsolete Model T and A parts from Ford Dealerships n the 1950s. Any idea what era the sign may be? The measurements are about 12x24. The Ford script and circle are embossed into the wood...which is solid except for a ply cut into each end to stop it from warping.

Just to give everyone a heads up that's there's a guy who steals photos from Antique Auto sites and forums and then lists them for sale on EBay. Its not a big deal I guess but I just saw one of my family pics of a cousin of mine with his Model T Ford for sale....exactly described word for word on ho...
