For a Model A Speedster. The mount is a ‘27-27 T Touring. I guess I need 2.25 bolts.

To correct a comment made earlier, hydraulic brakes also retain the original drum transmission brake. The brake pedal is adjusted to work first with the master cylinder and if that fails, the mechanical drum is activated.

I have a mis-match of parts on a Speedster. With low radiator/high radiator/short fan mount/long fan mount combination possible, things can get complicated. I had a new aluminum fan pulley that I machined to move the belt away from the timer.

Kevin has some quality people working for him. He was probably afraid they didn’t need him.

If your drums don’t run true, you will end up with a two pump brake. I started with new axles so my disc brakes work perfectly. Also I have wire wheels.

My experience with ELights is they are unsafe. Mine will not flash even though the steering column switch is flashing. Then when the switch is turned off, the signals continue to flash. I've sent several emails to Egypt Garage with no reply.

The vendor that supplied the leds informed me that I need to install load resistors for each led bulb, just like was what was mentioned above.

In the interest of Touring safety, I installed turn signals on a 6 volt Model T with a mag. With the engine off, they work great. With the engine running, they work erratically. I'm using a 6 volt neg ground mechanical flasher and 6 volt lens. Is it the mag causing inference or the generator? My fir...

I am very pleased with discs. One thing to keep in mind, any rear wheel wobble will result in a two pump brake. I started with a junk ruckstell with bent axles. New axles made all the difference in the world.

Thanks, I think I'll try and repair the bottom of the rod without removing the rod.

I need to replace my spark control rod. I have the steering wheel off and the have the cap covering the gears off. How does the cup come off so I can pull the rod up and out? I have the retaining split pin out at the spring.

Is there any interest in a ‘26 block, bored 40 over with HC pistons. Also have machined crank and new rods with Babbitt. $300.

Except for the appearance, hydraulic discs will get it done. You can keep the transmission brake in case of a failure. Every time I hear about Rocky Mountain Brakes not being adequate in reverse, I cringe.

It takes awhile to get past looking at the big discs inside the rear wheels. After that, it’s comforting to push the pedal and lock up the rear wheels with little or no effort. I went with Birdhaven, but the brakes sold by Kevin Nuebert (sp) look pretty good.

The bolts are 7/16 in diameter. They look too small for a wheel bolt.

Who can tell me what this bolt was used for. Pretty sure it’s Model T.

I can lock the wheels even though the bracket moves some. I don’t see it being a problem. I have the Birdhaven edition.

I picked up a aluminum hood but its 1.25 short for my speedster. What model had longer hoods?

I solved a Speedster belt problem by using the long fan mount bracket. I reduced the fan pulley diameter to clear the timing rod.

I also have a T wire wheel with the big center. A model A cap will fit

These are ELights. Only protect the rear. They have a sequential arrow and a 4 way flasher.

My water pump is not in proper alignment with the other two pulleys, causing the belt to run off. It doesn’t come off completely, just rides up on the flange.

How many of you use a water pump? I have one that creates a belt problem (throws it off). I want to remove it altogether.

I have two shafts, one with a constant taper at the front, and one with a couple tapers. Is one preferred?

Does the rod normally get that close to the belt, or is it too advanced?

Foot operated throttle seems like a good idea for Model T beginners. Seems to be only made by one manufacture and they are on back order. Are they problematic or something worth building?

Tried to post picture, but it’s beyond my pay grade.
21 ln wheel with ‘28-‘29 hub cap fits the T bolt pattern. I can see no differences in the wheel other than the larger hub cap.

Took the wheel out to Snyder’s and found that a ‘28-‘29 Model A cap fits.

Found a 21 in. Wire wheel to be used as a spare on my Speedster. The ID for the cap is 2.65 in. My other wheels are 2.44 in. Wheel is identical in every other way. What would this wheel be off of so I can get a cap?

Where is the voltage regulator available? I’m about to have my generator rebuilt and the shop asked me if I needed a new cutout.

T runs well on mag, but not on 6 volts. Is this a coil problem?

My question was, and still is, what pump has been used successfully.
Two years ago I took my Model A to the top of Mt Washington in New Hampshire. I want to make the same accent with a
Model T. I’m not interested in whether it was made with one or not.

Looking for suggestions on a fuel pump. I only want to use it when necessary. Does anyone make one that doesn’t require a regulator?
