Upon further examination, it is a plastic, hollow float that has collapsed.
It does not appear to have gas inside the float.

Anyone seen a collapsed carburetor float and if so what the cause might be.
This is a Holly G on a 1925 TT.

They would not slide in. It appears they were previously locked into place with a chisel flaring the bolt's square shaft.

If you part will not fit in a drill press, use one of these.
This will give you sufficient downward pressure to quickly drill the hole.

I have a 1925TT appears to have an electrical connection on the top/front of the transmission. If it truly is, what is it used for?
