Re: “….reeking of popcorn and lollipops” W. C. Fields

Several years ago they were having a summer school type event in a nearby village and ask our local car club if we could bring some cars to show on a day that they were discussing industrialization. Well I think that about 15 cars showed up anything from a Sears auto buggy to a very nice 59 Cadillac...

I still have a chunk of front tooth missing from smacking the dashboard of a 54 Ford wagon when dad had to hit the brakes, I was standing in the back seat with my brothers. Seat belts Hah. Jim

Re: Two piece valves

This is the one I removed last spring. It stretched on me and would not seat at all, I now have another that I believe has done the same thing, no compression on number 3 cylinder. When I say stretched I think the valve is in it's last days and is about to blow it's top and it starts to separate the...

Re: Single Barrel Bridgeport Tire Pumps

Rick, According to my most recent issue of Model T Times page 22, 1915 used the same pump as had been used since 1911. Calling it the Bridgeport Brass and the photo with the paragraph shows a double barrel. Say nothing about being Ford badged. Jim

Re: Two piece valves

I had #4 stretch on me last spring replaced with a solid one, ran all summer and fall and developed a miss back in December a compression check shows nothing on number 3 I'm guessing I stretched another one. The first one did not come completely apart and I can see both valve heads when I look down ...

Re: OT Here it comes...

We are sitting right along Lake Erie/ Sandusky Bay area with 29 degrees and about 3-4 " hard to tell with the wind drifting it so bad. we will get plenty of snow but not what the "gloom and doomers " are saying. Sandusky bay helps us a lot, these storms hit it and tend to split going north and south...

If you use a square shank screwdriver you can put a FORD adjustable wrench (or any other) to it and get it plenty tight. Jim

Have been carrying one of these tools in my pocket most of my life. I would have to say it's my favorite. As for regular type tools it would be a toss up between my welder or lathe. Jim
