They are dry, i have water pump and it runs cool i have to block radiator to get a reading in the cap meter i was thinking that did not help im thinkig thermostat...

What can i use to keep carbon free the intake valves and pistons on a T engine ?

Ok the channel is ok looks good but wont stop water unless some other sealant , i have the channel rubber and it does not
stop water by itself

I have a 26 Coupe and need the side glass and rear to mount anyone ever used the Windshield/Back Glass Ribbon Sealer
instead of the rubber from the vendors??

So there where wrapped with asbestos cloth ???

I got a set of 6 volts original wires that i got at a flea market Question Was these wires wrapped with asbestos they have a heavy wrap ,looks like a cloth , i set a flame to the strands and they burn like cloth , but will like to be sure on the asbestos thing , dont wand to expose Thank you Lorenzo

I did the pin bolts with a rod in the pin hole held on a vice as to not bend the rod
could i have gotten 7.5 advanced cam gear instead of standard ?
just wondering .... i will have to check

Kerry , will the cam shaft movement do this only on a retard position ?
the bearings are good , a bent rod that is what also comes to mind
i got the set from langs , don>t they correct this on this rods when you get them ??

forgot to add the crank is standard original

I have a rebuilt engine and when in operation there is a knock when i advance the timer sounds like a loose piston [new pistons..20 over] .003 rebore== on this rebuild the rods are good clearance the next thing i can think is rod side to side clearance i never checked them i ordered from Langs

I have the the gear shaft and flywheel on crank ready to go , but i cant get the thrust washers to go down on the flywheel hole all the way down i dont want to force them in , Question -can i grind the edge of the 3 washers down some to fit them in ? Thank you for any info--

Why did ford only use one bushing on the 26 drive plate ? [and 2 on the earlier ones]

Yes walter they are stainless , can i perhaps cut some of the tabs and bend them back from the other side ??

The caps i got have lots of tabs all around ,Could i have the wrong caps??

I got a set of 28-29 original wire wheels and i got new hub caps , and i cannot seem to be able to put them on ,i have vent the clips on the edge but no go, any sugestion ???

I Have a wood wheel with the spokes painted black , i like to scrape the paint off, could the paint have lead in it ?
or was it only painted with enamel [looks original the wheel] but hen again its old ..

i do not want to push junk ,just to filter the gas so it does not get to the carb. [[the set up -- from the tank to a filter to a pump and then to the carburator]]] the tank is not too far gone just to be on the safe side just wondering if anyone has used a pulse pump and any luck with it .thank u L...

Can i use a low presure small engine pulse system on my 22 engine to get fuel to go thru a filter ?

When i rebuilt my engine[ coupe 26 ]i left the magnets to move oil and to keep the weight of the flywheel but removed the mag. coils ring ,. i use 12 volt bat. and CONVERTED my starter to 12 volts --i use a distributor, foot feed ,and find it to be a lot better ..,CONVERTING [look at picture on top]...

I have used ^ volts before ,but it was hard to start , coils where weak ,even with a rebuilt starter , -the coils work great on 12 volts, the 6 volts bat. here are hard to get and lasts 9 month if ever, up north in farm areas it might be better , i love to have 6 volts and be more original - i have ...

thank you , its just, that it makes it easier to me to convert to 12 volts this way
