Re: Leon Parker's rewooding plans

What kind of money are we talking about to purchase these plans?
I agree that the MTFCA would be ideal to take on this project with proper funding and oversight. However as someone has said there hasn't been any input from the club.

Re: brake pedal movement

Since the transmission brake drum is attached to the engine you really can't keep pressure on the brake pedal with engine running correct? I've been told short applications only. I'm in the process of installing an AC brake system purchased from Larry Skidmore and Rich Baughman . Bill Ramsey is a bi...

Re: Here I go again .... to OCF

Last year Steve had a major engine problem and was towed to a shop that fixed him up well enough to get home. Can't believe a tire tube is going to stop him on this journey. No one in the area that could part with a new or good used tube? Great public service for Synders or Langs to overnight one. M...

I always read when adjusting bands that the adjustment is 1 to 1.5 inches from pedal to floor board.
My question is where on the pedal do you start the measurement? :(

Something about Richard Boone driving an automobile in a western doesn't sit right. But the period dictated change and was appropriate. It was an enjoyable film.

I'm going to get at it again tomorrow. Between the information here and some I found on the Internet I think I'll have it figured out. Thanks for the input.

Ammeter does not register a charge

Hello all, I see another thread just started about a generator not charging. I've started my own so not to piggyback . My generator appears to be charging, although it is registering the same voltage reading as the battery side on the cutout. The reading is slightly above 6 volts. With engine NOT ru...

Re: Nice Model T Video on PrewarCar.com

Thanks Jeff for posting this video and a special thanks to Steve for letting us ride shotgun on his ride. What made it special was it being an Independence day ride with old glory on the radiator cap. Flags on display at the curbs. What was impressive was the camera work. Truly professional. In anot...

Please someone make a liar of me.
I put the photo on its side, hope it comes out upright

Hopefully not jinxing myself, but woke up my T today.
Started right up first try. Very happy and unexpected. Now to get some work done. First I'll go over front axle. Many cotter pins missing for starters. Sorry about sideway photo :( Don't know how to make it right side up!

Re: VIDEO: How to Replace Front Wheel Bearings on Your Model T

I enjoyed your video and find, at least for me, watching the repair being done is much better than reading the process in a manual. After this video I watched the replacing transmission bands video. It was lacking on how to adjust the bands though. You do have a video on adjusting the bands, however...

Hallmark cards, I took it for granted that they charge plenty for greeting cards. Checked the back of the card for price,
MADE IN CHINA! Really? This is rediculous, they still charge five dollars and up for a piece of paper with a greeting. Another company that I will not support.

Boyco fluids fender unit

Curious to know about how much should someone expect to pay for a Boyco fluids fender unit?
There is one list on ebay now for over $400, buy it now. It includes mounting bracket and I believe that the water container is rusted through in places on the bottom.
Seems pricey. :?:

I remember the the 1960s and 1970s in New York growing up. We had some heavy snow storms which was normal and they were just dealt with. Then at some point the winter weather became milder. People became used to it and memories fade of what winter is supposed to be. Now when there is snow up in the ...

How about putting bronze thrust washers in the rear axle instead of the babbitt ones. That was really going cheap.
There where plenty of improvements that existed but Ford was looking for lowest price to keep the Model T affordable
