Re: First Annual Brass To Class Swap Meet - Car Tour - Car Show In The Beautiful Verde Valley Arizona Nov 10th - 13th 20

Sounds like a good time. I will be watching for more information. Mapquest said that it is 3 hours 14 minutes from my house, so that would be a good tour for me to attend.

Good article from Jonah D'Avella about his adventures with his 1926 Touring car. It's good to see a younger person get excited about bringing a very old car back to life, along with parents that support him doing it.

I sent my old top to Don Allen for his car that is being preserved with patina. Maybe someone that is replacing a top on a 26-27 would send you their old one to get you by for a while. Keep posting about your progress on the car, and someone may send you what you need to keep going. Model T people a...

The top kits from the vendors are a good value for what is included in the kit. There is more to the top than just the roof covering, there is a lot of small pieces, straps, trim and fasteners. Most of the time the top pads are not included with the kit, and you do need them. The only thing that I h...

My car came with these mirror brackets that screw on the windshield frame with the one screw in the middle of the windshield sanction . They work very well with no vibration. Jim, That is a nice looking T that you have there. The magneto putting out 10 volts is low, but the following is how it should be checked. It should get better with an in car recharge. Snyders also now sells headlight bulbs that the filaments are horizontal when installed. This makes it possible to properly foc...

My car came with these beverage holders, top of a cowboy boot stitched closed at about where your ankle is and hung on a coupling nut attached to the cowl lamp bolt. There is not that much demand for 6 volt group 1 batteries any more, just the antique cars and old tractors. I would think that most of them would be built in the the same factory with a different sticker on them. My 8N tractor has a Ray-0-Vac that I got from Batteries Plus in 2011. It will still ho...

Lucas Classic Tires in Long Beach CA still lists the Riversides at $152.00 each. The shipping to New York may be more than buying them closer to you. When I bought tires for my car everyone was the same price for the tires, just cost a lot more for shipping from Snyders, Langs or Coker Tire. Shippin...

I would say that the value of a 31 Chevrolet Independence series, that is a restored driver car would be about the same as a Model A Ford. It is a slightly larger car with a more powerful 6 cylinder engine. I would guess in the range of $10-12,000. If it needs restoration then it would be somewhat l...

I did not know about washers on a line shaft until I went to the OCF in 2016, someone asked about them and their function.
