I did a frame off restoration of my Tudor. There are only two sill plates (one for each door) and they are zinc with a Ford script. Different from those on a Model A, but look similar. I don't know what those 4 pieces are in the middle, maybe not for a Tudor?

I haven't seen that idea before, but it should allow lowering the car by dearching of the spring. If you did that with a standard perch the suspension geometry would screwed up.

I run a Bosch 600 on my Tudor. It is converted to use a Pertronix Ignitor as described at the Tulsa website. I measured the advance curve for it, but I'm not sure which advance mechanism it was. All I can tell you is that an A cam (unless the lobe is reground) will run off the edge of the lifter. Ford and other cam designers don't think that is a good idea. I'm surprised no one has mentioned this problem. The foot of Model A lifters is larger, 1 1/8 inch or 1 3/16, for a reason. The contact point will be off the edge of a 1" lifter. You might get by with that for at least a while, but it's not considered a good idea.

In the Model T hobby there is a tradition of false advertising of compression ratio. I put together the chart someone posted from the Tulsa website. Whether they are advertised at 6:1 or 8:1, they all tend to measure about 5:1. So is your head truly 6.25:1?

Tom,
The Prus, Z and reproduction Rajo heads all have 5 to 5.3 compression ratio but claim anywhere from 6 to 8. Determining an accurate number is not rocket science. What is the combustion chamber volume and "true" compression ratio on this Miller head? See http://mtfctulsa.com/Tech/head_design.htm
