I use them for my 23TT with a declared value of $6500. Here's a pro tip, you can add "cherished salvage" to your policy for very little $$ or free in my case. Cherished salvage gives you back the car for free if it is totaled out.

So, the pawl is rounded and doesn't engage the teeth on the quadrant on my 23 TT. It looks like the quadrant has been replaced but not the rest of it. Re: A big thanks to the board and a specific board member...
Ya tell me about. I spent the day painting some wheels and chasing threads on some new to me dismountable wheel bolts / lugs.

A big thanks to the board and a specific board member...
I recently picked up a couple of Model TTs, which I knew nothing about other than they were cool. Needless to say, I started reading the forums and eventually got hooked up with a local board member who had a couple of Model Ts and a TT. I'm not going to name him, but he knows who he is and he can c...

Re: TT Solid Tires and Wooden Fellow
A little update on my wheels. I took the loose one to a local Amish Wheelwright. He said the spokes were solid but the felloe was rotten, most likely due to sitting outside. As it has a steel rim with a solid tire on it, he can't use heat to rebuild the wheel. He said he'll steam bend up some new fe...

Re: TT Solid Tires and Wooden Fellow
I pulled up the little plate and I think it's just a makers plate. I can't see a trip much longer than 4 miles to the little towns around my house, via some country roads. That said, the felloes / rim joint is pretty wonky and the wheel needs to be fixed before I do anything other than drive up and ...

Re: TT Solid Tires and Wooden Fellow
With the solid tires how would one go about heating up the rim and replacing a rivet? I'm guessing the rubber would melt if there was too much heat and it looks like the tire has to be removed to replace the rivet. Is there a way to remove the solid tire and use the rim with a regular inflatable tire?

TT Solid Tires and Wooden Fellow
My TT has solid rear tires with wooden fellows. One of the rims is kind of loose between the fellow and rim and is currently shimmed to keep it on the rim. It's my understanding that other wooden fellow wheels have rivets that keep the fellow on the metal rim, this doesn't seem to have them. So how ...

Is this a TT windshield?
This windshield and brow came with my TT. I'm not sure if it's right but I'll probably make it work when I build the cab. I'm also not sure what the tinted brow goes to.

Humm? I don't have a starter.Russ T Fender wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 4:49 pmMay be a silly question but if you have a non starter car or truck for that year do you still have the bell crank? Knowing Henry, I would expect only starter equipped cars to have the bell crank as it serves no purpose if you don't have a starter.

So I won't need a bell crank as I don't have a dash?

Re: NH carb adjustmet rod
I'm not exactly sure what a bell crank is? So the curved loop of the adjustment rod goes through the firewall and that is what you turn? I really don't have a dash, just the firewall. I've seen pictures of round knobs on the dash but not the curved loop. The only choke I have is the rod that goes th...

NH carb adjustmet rod
My 23 TT is missing the carb adjustment rod. I've seen various setups, some with linkage and others just with a rod with a two pronged end. What do I need and where does it come through the firewall and what is on the other end of it?

Re: Is this a Ruckstell trans part?
How do you tell at TT vs T part? I'm guessing the TT has a longer rod due to the longer wheelbase and maybe a different fork due to the worm gear?

Is this a Ruckstell trans part?
It came with my truck, I think it's part of a Ruckstell trans linkage but I'm not sure as fork looks different than the ones in the catalog? Any idea of what it is and what it is worth?

Re: My 23 TT project
These latest photos would indicate that it is a later TT. The longer chassis rear cross member with 2 holes on each side, the absence of the bead on the clam shells and the oil plug on the top of the rear end cap (early units didn't have this) all indicate a later truck. This all makes me curious a...

Re: My 23 TT project
Scott, I'm not convinced it's a '24 or newer just because it is currently sporting a high radiator/firewall. Contradicting that opinion are the short running boards. Some things a photo of might help get a better idea of the year it was built: 1. The rear end' Clam shell bead at axle tube or not. 2...

Re: My 23 TT project
Scott, you have a high firewall so your TT would be a '24 or newer. The firewall, hood , hood shelves and radiator are different than a low radiator '23 or older. Just a heads up. Dave Ugh, it's got a 1923 engine and that is the only number on it so I guess that is what I have to register it as? Wh...

Re: My 23 TT project
I like the looks of the C cabs and I'm looking for something easy to make. I've got 4 tabs on the frame that I think are mounting holes for the cab, but I'm not exactly sure how the cab and floor attach to them. I'm 6'3" so I'll probably extend the cab a bit to make it adult sized.

My 23 TT project
I just picked this up from a buddy. It's got a 23 motor in it so I'm guessing that's what I'm going to call it. It runs, drives and stops. It has a True Fire ignition, solid rear tires, solid frame and a Texas T alternator (not hooked up). I've driven it up and down the drive sitting on the gas tank...
