Identifying Top Socket Years

Is there an easy way to identify if a set of top sockets are for a 1926 touring car? I have searched and cannot seem to find a way to be sure. Thanks.

Re: Engine builders recommendation for a parts washer

Curious - anyone out there ever use TSP (tri-sodium phosphate) to clean parts? I had a wreck of a South Bend lathe about 30 years ago - tons of grease and built up layers of lead paint on it from WWII on. I got a big metal tub and put the dismantled parts in it with a TSP solution (can't remember co...

Re: BRAKE FAILURE. A close call

Sounds scary for that driver...

I had a guy lose his clevis pin on his Model A brakes one day as he pulled into my driveway and barely missed ruining his prize winning car. I hope I can be as clear headed "when" something like that happens to me....

Re: Carburetor Woes

Thanks all for your input. Tried making a tool from a screwdriver this morning after several heating/penetrating oil sequences. Still no luck. So rather than totally destroy the seat insert, I may hand it off to someone who has more experience with these and use it as a good core - the only good one...

Re: Carburetor Woes

Thanks for the input. Yep - Working on another carb I found in the pile, although not that much better, it has decent threads. I'll give it a go if I can just get the darned float seat out...

Really appreciate the forum.

Re: Carburetor Woes

Holley NH Threads on bottom plug and bottom of carb where plug goes in no good....

Took me a while to get photos. I was developing the film, but my wife showed me how to do it with her phone! Who knew?

Carburetor Woes

So I got my fancy rebuilt motor back for my 1915 Canadian Touring, put it in, attached the carburetor and although it worked fine before, leaked like the dickens from the top of bowl and drain valve plug assembly. Figured likely a float or needle issue so I took it apart. All seemed well so I put it...

21 Inch Split Rims Anyone?

I also desperately need some 21" Split rims for my 1926 - anyone out there feeling generous enough to help a fellow model T'er out and sell a few?

I for one would be very grateful to avoid getting scammed!

Scott - sounds like you were part of the same DOD data breach as me. Still getting tons of grief from that one.
