Center Door Sedan Return Address Stamp
Does anyone know any custom stamp manufacturers that offer a Center Door Sedan image? My grandparents used to have a really cool stamp that featured the same model of car that he previously owned and now I own and care for. Here is an example of the stamp they had:

Re: New exhaust pipe for Model T
If you’re planning to replace the muffler too (I had to, the entire thing was rusted beyond repair) make sure you test fit the new muffler on your new pipe to make sure the two will correctly mate. The welded muffler that I ordered from Lang’s was manufactured incorrectly and the I.D. Of the muffler...

Re: New exhaust pipe for Model T
I purchased and installed the stainless steel exhaust pipe that Lang’s sells. It was a bit too long on the back end, but with a $15 pipe cutter from Harbor Freight I was able to shorten it to the correct length and now it fits like a glove. It’s the shiniest thing under the car, no regrets and defin...

Re: Maaco
I paid Maaco to paint a replacement fender on a modern car of mine 10 years ago. They did a great job; would definitely pay them to do similar work in the future. I’ve considered exploring what it would cost to have them paint my ‘22 sedan, but if I went that route I may elect to remove the fenders ...

Re: Ca Auto Repair
I can understand wanting to better regulate certain work like automotive paint and the disposal of certain hazardous chemicals. Many of those can be really nasty to the environment and a fairly high percentage of home mechanics do NOT handle hazardous waste disposal properly. That said, I can envisi...

Re: Is a T Safer than a Modern Car?
Seat belts, reinforced passenger compartments, crumple zones, air bags, not to mention better vehicle stability, road contact, and braking power....I’ll take my chances with the code. Most of the software on a modern car goes into the bells and whistles of the entertainment system and the like, whic...

Re: My Turn Signals
Is the switch voltage-specific? I ordered Lang's 6v turn signal kit but they said their supplier has backordered the switches for a while now. I've found some similar switches at other general automotive retailers, but all claim to be 12v. The only part of the switch I can think of that might drive ...

Painting the chassis and engine without disassembly
My car was fully restored in the 60s and has been garage kept ever since, however much of the paint on the chassis and engine is starting to flake off exposing the bare metal. I don't have a large enough garage to disassemble the car, or the budget to pay someone else to do it right now, but have wo...

Re: Greasy brakes- now what?
So it turns out the inner seals were not neoprene seals, but either a felt material or possibly one of the later model leather seals. Either way, the new neoprene seals are in, as are the bearing sleeves. The sleeves still stick out ever so slightly, but I'm hesitant to do anything about it since bo...

Re: Greasy brakes- now what?
New seals and bearing sleeves are in, and it appears I'm going to have to modify the sleeves to accommodate the width of the inner seals so they don't stick out. Any tips on the best way to go about doing this? Is this something I should see about taking to a machine shop for, or can it be accomplis...

Re: Greasy brakes- now what?
OKAY. Both assemblies are apart and cleaned up. 2 Questions: 1) My roller bearings look good, but are only measuring 0.49" each (pretty much universally). I know the manual says the spec is 0.500", but doesn't really say what they start out at. Normally I'm one to err on the side of caution and just...

Curious. My 22 Center Door doesn't have any markings there. It was my understanding that only the engines were numbered at that time, but I don't profess to have much wisdom on the subject.

Re: Greasy brakes- now what?
Random thought: If I attempt to remove and replace the inner neoprene seal (not even sure how I might accomplish this), how much oil is waiting for me on the other side, and do I have to worry about it draining out?

Thanks all for the replies. A lot of very helpful information. I think I'm going to: Degrease and clean up everything with Brakleen as others have suggested (obviously be careful not to blast it into the inside of the axle shaft) Replace both races Replace the inner and outer seals on both sides wit...

Greasy brakes- now what?
Welp, my suspicion proved to be correct. My outer bearing seal has failed, and my emergency brake is now covered in grease. As imagined, this is notably impacting braking performance. (i.e. it doesn't do sh*t). I understand I'll need to at a minimum replace the grease seal, and probably the shoes an...

Thanks everyone for the reassurance that the car should not have a potent baseline smell of gasoline. I traced it down, and I'm embarrassed to say, it was extremely stupid... the gas cap was off. Gasoline Oder
I already know what some on this forum my say, and I don't mind the smell myself, but it's permeating into the townhouse that I'm renting, and I fear it will linger after we're gone and we'll be charged to kingdom come to replace all the carpets, paint, etc. I think my car may be particularly stinky...

Re: Advice for towing '22 Center Door long distance
My fwiw opinion; 22 Centre door, rare and hard to come by. You live in a pretty populated part of the country, any chance of finding an enclosed trailer to rent, or an enclosed carrier that would transport your car for you? Sounds like a one time relocation of the car, why chance it. So after doing...

Advice for towing '22 Center Door long distance
ADVICE WANTED I'm planning to tow my '22 Center Door from its current storage unit in central NJ to my house in Virginia. Under normal conditions, the drive is roughly 200 miles of mostly I-95. I'm fairly experienced with hauling trailers and driving very large vehicles, but have never towed anythi...

Exhaust Deflector Output
Anyone else have the exhaust deflector sold by Lang's installed on their T? I installed one with my new muffler/pipe because the idea of reducing the amount of black soot accumulating on the spare tire+license plate+rear of the car was too appealing to pass up given the price of the mod, but the res...

Is motor oil with graphite common?
Not trying to create another "what oil should I put in my T" post. I know that regardless of what weight, viscosity, traditional/synthetic, adding ATF vs not decisions I make, the one thing I should definitely avoid using is an oil that contains graphite because such a product will wreck the magneto...

Re: Advice Wanted - Center Door Sedan Gas Tank Replacement
Thanks Dan, I appreciate the insight. I've ordered the neoprene packings from Lang's, and intend to use them instead of the felt ones. Advice Wanted - Center Door Sedan Gas Tank Replacement
Hi friends! My father and I are getting ready to replace the gas tank on my 1922 Center Door. Appropriate gas tank for 1922 Center Door Sedan
Hi all, I recently inherited my late grandfather's 1922 Center Door Sedan, and am having a blast learning about it, driving it, and caring for it. Unfortunately, it's developed a fuel leak somewhere in the area of the gas tank, and I suspect the leak is coming from the tank itself due to the signifi...
