A few months ago I put a Holley NH carb on the 13T. I set the mixture per the guide on the MTFCA site. Re: 13T - Kingston to Holley NH

Larry, Almost everything I’ve done on the 13T has been getting it closer to original in a series of baby steps. However, I guess in my mind if I do something which is a deviation from that process... I would hope it’s a choice which someone who owned the 13T back in the day may have reasonably made ...

Re: 13T - Kingston to Holley NH

The 13T has no starter and runs with a 25 engine right now. The original engine is in my garage waiting for some attention.

I crank start and run off a 6v battery as my magneto works but it results in a rough running engine. The mag will be a future project to work on.

13T - Kingston to Holley NH

I have been running a Kingston carb (L4?) on the 13T. Over the last year, I’ve read numerous threads about T carbs and decided I wanted to purchase a new model carb and keep the Kingston in reserve as a backup/spare. Though there’s always debate and disagreement... there seemed to be a consensus som...

Re: Rust removal Evapo-Rust

I, also, used Evaporust in the 13T’s water jackets to remove any rust prior to installing a new brass radiator. I found the product extremely easy to use and liked the fact the product addressed rust though the chelation... which meant it wasn’t caustic or a hazardous material.

13T - Gas Lamps Coming Back to Life

Decided to work toward getting functional lamps since I picked up an acetylene generator at Luray. Was able to get one of the oil lamps immediately started up with a new wick. Attached are the pics. The other oil lamp has a leaking base. So will see if I can seal up the pinholes then get it lit with...

Isn’t the point of the “A” configuration to cause the gas streams, when they hit each other, to create a wide/broad flame for greater reflected illumination?

Dan, that pic you posted showing the harness going up the firewall is what I was looking for. That makes sense to keep the harness away from the exhaust manifold. I’ll need to find a clip and that magic can happen. I’ll keep looking for some good pics of restored 09-14 engine compartments but think ...

13T - Rebuilding the acetylene gas lines/system question

I have E&J Model 666 gas lamps on the 13T... they are all brass, not black/brass, so I understand they're not original; however, they're beautiful and for now I plan on keeping them on there since that's what grandpa had. Years ago, grandpa had a prestolite tank on the running board but I don't ever...

Does anyone have a picture of their wiring harness in the engine compartment if you have it setup pretty close to original? I saw this part from Langs says it's the original style harness for a 1909-1914. Also, curious how it is hooked up/oriented in the engine compartment. I have a wiring harness w...
