If you can see the glue lines after you put it back together you could paint more lines on the globe to make it look like crazing which is common in old pottery.

Last Saturday (12-28) Stan Howe listed a slightly modified OF for sale in the classifieds. stromberg OF.JPG " notice what somebody made to fit the earlier style adjuster. I had never thought of doing that, it's a unique idea and would make it easy to adjust the high speed mixture from inside the car...

If you jack up the rear end and remove the wheels you can put a piece of heavy wall steel rectangular tubing under the frame and over the wishbones and support it on good jack stands.

I believe this is the filter recommended by Stan Howe. It came from MODEL A GARAGE in Luray Va.
I have one on my 26 tudor with a U&J carb and my son has one on his 26 roadster with a Model B carb and both cars run great with no fuel delivery problems.

The drawing looks like an escutcheon plate. It does not look like what is on the tank in your enlarged photo.
The faint lines on the drawing may mean that the part was changed but not the drawing.

My wife's grandfather was born in 1903. One time I asked him if he had ever owned a Model T. "Hell no" he said "I wouldn't own that junk!"
At the time he was driving an early 70's AMC Hornet station wagon.

Here is one of Stan's U & J carbs with a straight down manifold on a generator equipped car.
The generator was rebuilt by Ron Patterson and has a sealed bearing so the oiler is not necessary. I plugged the hole with a screw which leaves about 1/8th inch clearance.

In Pennsylvania one of the restrictions of having antique license plates on a truck is that you cannot use it to haul anything.
A display of old junk that you take to a car show would probably be OK but a load of lumber might get you pulled over.

Raoul, I buy my coal in 40 lb. bags from an Amish gentleman who lives about 10 miles away. It comes from a town 60 miles northeast of Hershey.
Anthracite (hard coal) burns clean. No smoke, no soot, no smell.

About 6 or 7 years ago I got tired of cutting firewood so I replaced the wood stove in my basement with one that burns anthracite coal. It's a lot less work.

I bought two old US Army wool blankets on ebay and had a seamstress friend sew seat covers.
A coupe seat would be easier.
The blankets were not expensive and I only had to give the seamstress an old cast iron skillet.
