I made a gasket board!

Bought a bunch of gaskets yesterday so I had to finish a project I’ve been wanting for a while. Just wish there was a spot on the poster for head gaskets and the hogshead felt. I didn’t realize there were that many in there. Plenty of those hard to find copper head gaskets too! Now to find enough wa...

My uncle popped in to help me tonight. I got the top windshield frame back from paint yesterday and got all of the glass set. The top is hung and now I’m ready to move on to the doors as soon as the felt channels come in. The rear window may get set tomorrow if I don’t find something to get sidetrac...

Essentially yes, but the earliest '13 covers had a different clutch shaft to which the yokes were keyed and bolted. Later ones were pinned to the shaft and riveted over.
RV, is this one like you’re talking about?

To my knowledge, the only thing available right now in the “kits” is the cobra long grain material. I prefer the smooth material used on the open cars. As far as what’s supposed to be there, I have no idea. I haven’t seen a complete original truck with the original top still intact.

I used a nice leather grain tonneau cover from a truck bed. It was a blemished product from years ago. The area of material I used wasn’t damaged at all. New Product On The Market!

I’m excited to announce that I’ve started to produce a product that while it only fills the need of a small group, I felt it should be available to all. I’ve started producing Magneto Field Coil coil insulators. This is the small gasket that goes in between the wrapped coils and the cast ring. It pr...

Last of the pictures. Once the rain clears, I’ll get some better pictures in the daylight. May need one final sanding and additional coat of paint at a later date.

Speedster Tool Box

Finished up a three day project today. Finally after eight months of driving my speedster I got my butt in gear and got motivated to build the rear toolbox for my speedster. I may have gone a little overkill on this one but at least it has plenty of room and is solid as a rock. Final dimension ended...

Re: 1925 roadster engine rebuild

A guy in town has a 14 touring with an engine Kevin Prus built. Smoothest engine I’ve ever heard run. It’s been on the ocean to ocean tour with a little over 5000 miles on it. A true work horse.

Re: Numbers-matching 26 Touring

Jake,

My 27 TT has the title matching the engine and frame number original to the truck. I wouldn’t say it’s uncommon but there are definitely cars out there that have replacement engines which the originals somewhere in a scrap heap.

My 2¢

Re: WTB GASKET POSTER

I found one! Forgive me for not remembering the gentleman’s name from over on the left coast but thank you! Sorry I didn’t think to write it down. I guess I’ll remember when I get the package and see the return label. He wouldn’t let me pay anything but the postage so a donation will be made to the ...

Brad, Those were free give aways from Langs.
I know. I’m just hoping someone may have an extra or may want to let go of theirs.

WTB GASKET POSTER

I’m looking for one of those full size gasket posters Lang’s sold a few years ago. If anyone has one they’d like to sell, please contact me.

Thanks

Re: tips n tricks on installing curved wood pieces top bows...

You could use a pvc board used for tying in door moldings and garage doors. The stuff that has “wood grain” on it. Cut to size and use a heat gun to bend. When warm it moves and has the consistency of a marshmallow. When it cools down and hardens back up its just as strong as wood, waterproof and ho...

This should take care of replacement bearings, races and seals for the front axel. All are readily available. I get mine from Fisher auto run by Federated Auto Parts.

Re: Question on TT Truck spring and perch bushings for rear

One is for the early TT. It uses part # 1101 in conjunction. I’m not sure if the 1100 or 1087 is the early or late. The later used one size for the spring and perch. At least that’s the way my 27 works. This all came from the TT1 book from May of 1927.

Re: TT Progress

Thanks to a buddy the TT engine is out of the chassis and stripped down! In case anyone was wondering, a model t engine minus the pan and hogshead will fit on a horrible fright 3 tray shop cart. Now time for cleaning.......lots and lots of cleaning.

Just renamed the topic line. This will now be the progress thread for my 1927 TT build. Pulled the engine the other night with some help from a buddy and now it’s stripped down waiting to be cleaned.
