Re: Headgaskets: Everybody is Out of Them

I just left a message with Gasket Works. We’ll see what happens when/if they call back. I’m sure there will be a minimum quantity for ordering.

We’ve decided to sell our service station HCCT. I’ll be setup in the back left corner.

Notary Service at Luray Swap Meet

Hey everyone. Just like the last few years, I’ll be set up at the Luray Swap Meet. I’m a registered notary for Virginia and I’ll have my stamp at my spaces in the back corner for any of your notary needs.

By pulling the hogshead is the short answer. The pedal cam is riveted into the shaft from the inside.

Re: TT Progress

Brad, I could see a lot of advantages to using a Model A Carb and manifolds. Is there anything special that you have to do to put it on a Model T engine? BTW. I have a closed cab like yours and needs a top. I am getting ideas from the work that you posted. Thanks so much! Matt I used the adapter pl...

Closed Cab TT Door Handles

Made some progress on the TT tonight. One thing that has plagued me from the beginning is the door handles and latches. My basket case didn’t come with any. I found a set of latches and just have the passenger side to finish. Now on to the handles. I bought the repop rough cast handles from the supp...

New Stanchion Mount Spare Tire Mounts

Update on my spare tire carrier project. I talked to the foundry the other day and they told me that the once the mold pattern is made it’ll be about a 3-4 week lead time until I get the carrier rough castings. Once I have those I’ll know what it’ll take to finish them. My hope is to have the end pr...

On paper, all 3 (stock) tire sizes have the same O.D. This does not consider oversize tires which are common on 30x3.5 & 21".
The 30x3.5 mounted on the blue roadsters carrier is oversized. Can’t use the running board plate but holds well otherwise.

Possible run of spare tire carriers.

I’m waiting on the casting foundry in town to give me a price but would anyone be interested in the accessory windshield stanchion mount with running board plate spare tire carrier? I’ve seen a few of them but even fewer with the running board plate. If my measurements are correct, you’d me able to ...

The last few engines I put together I did with the modern cam seal and didn’t use the felt or shield. All is good. Clean the timer housing when I think about it and go on with life.

Re: Definition of Doctor's coupe

Ford never called a coupe a doctors coupe. As far as a T is concerned, there is no such thing as a doctors coupe. If and only if a doctor owns said coupe, that changes things. Otherwise it’s just a coupe. This thread is from 2009. http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/80 ... 1240976188

Re: Carb Linkage Question

Brad, if you go to a Model A-B-C manifold and carburetor, thoroughly read Bryant Shafer's Carburetor and Manifold post. A good point made in it, is that with a big change in air-fuel mixture requires or changes, too, if you don't want over carburetion response problems. As someone said, putting twi...

Carb Linkage Question

I’m going to be running Model A manifolds and a Marvel Schebler carb on my 27 TT. Does anyone have pictures of how they ran the linkage on an engine without the NH hole between cylinders 2 & 3? I’d rather not use a foot pedal and keep the column throttle lever. Thanks in advance!
