Re: 1923 Touring Non electric/battery model
ED: you are really tempting me to undertake another Bob assembly project. quit raining yesterday and I gave Bob's coupe a long run. Looks like the body and paint on this are just as nice as the coupe's. If somebody will relieve me of my xke or model a I would jump at this. Also if these photos are a...

Re: Seat Belts, What of it?
For me, I have lap belts installed in my model A coupe and my MGTD that are tied to the frame, for safety, law and insurance requirements. The model A could maybe stand up under a roll over, the MG would be questionable. For the T's no belts, but I don't drive them at above 35 either. I realize it i...

Re: How to Paint a T?
Having painted a few of various years, I would strongly suggest using a self etching primer on any bare metal. Then put on the primer of your choice. The bottom layer of self etching ensures a good bond with the old metal you will be covering, and often some of the stripped metal sets a while as you...

Re: FS 1930 Model A coupe
More info. Has sealed leak-less water pump, touring cam, rewired with full fuse block under seat, hot water heater in trunk area (I still need to pipe the hot air into the cab and or defrost). I was building this as a daily driver, with modifications once I discovered the fiberglass rear fenders. Ju...

Kind of looks like a 20's Star. The touring models had a pretty short, flat top look from a side view.

Re: Wanted: AC brake parts
I use a Model T ranch equalizer set up with rods for the original AC's on my 22 coupe. The rods have a set of anti rattle support brackets on them. I needed the rods to eliminate any side to side movement in the brakes as they were a tight fit with hassle rear shocks. Seem to work well, I did add so...

Directors Candidates
Just got my copy of Sept-Oct issue of Vintage Ford in the mail. Read the info on the director candidates and thought to myself, how do you choose from such a great group of people. Don't see anybody that I would not want to see as a director and think any of them would be an asset. I don't know any ...

Re: Rocky mountain brakes, has anyone used cable instead of rods?
I tried this on my 22 coupe with original AC's and hassle shocks, found it easier to use rods and guides, the routing of cables was somewhat difficult, you could just bend the rods. Also the rods allowed me to put a little pressure away from the wheel on the brake shoes, giving me some much needed s...

Re: 1919 Model T in restoration...
Did a 22 Center Door 15 years ago, with much re-wooding required. Sold It to Ron Kipling(RIP), wish I had it back as it was a very sweet running and very original car. The driving position in the Center Doors was a bit uncomfortable for me, but they do have a look that is so classic. If you weren't ...

Re: 1919 Model T in restoration...
One piece of advise on closed car restoration. Do not do too much body work without the body mounted to the frame. These wood framed bodies have some variance to them and if you don't have them on the squared up chassis when you fit and finish the doors, windshield, wood firewall, etc. you could end...

Re: WTB 08 model S mechanical oiler parts
Thanks Hap: I did put a post on the EFR forum. I looked for the parts at Bakersfield, but no luck. I do have one original part #1248, and two of the part #1244. Also have some very beat up part #184's and some rough casting, but would like to find some good originals. If I can't find the parts will ...

WTB 08 model S mechanical oiler parts
Need some parts for the oiler on my 08 SR. Need 2 of the bleeder bushings part #1248 and one oiler pipe nipple part #1244. Modern pipe bushings are close to part #1248, but threads are cut with too much taper. the oiler pipe nipples have a check valve. I could also use two decent front spring hanger...
