Re: Warford Question(s)
Update, got the cap off thanks to Craig's suggestion, turns out the shifter is good, all I need is a knob. I'll check Amazon for a generic knob with 1/2-13 threads if no one in the group has one available. Thanks

Aluminum case (old) Warford Model 720 - How do you get the cap at the bottom of the shift lever off? I have removed the two screws that appear to hold it on but it is stuck! Another question - does anyone have a good shift lever for the above model (mine is broken off below the knob threads) or just...

Re: Rear spring perches
I figured it out, had two problems - I was trying to use the wrong nuts (too thick) and the perches I was trying to use were worn down on the thread end, took the pieces off my old rear end and all is well, thanks to all who offered help.

Rear spring perches
Is the threaded part of the rear spring perches longer on a later rear end than earlier cars? The perch I have measures 1" in length from the mounting surface to the end of the threads, just protruding 1/4" past the backing plate. Both sets I have are this size. May be a dumb question but there it i...

The last set I installed, I had the same problem (new brake lining), I reread Langs information in their catalogue and "tapered" the ends of the new lining and all is well. Might look at that area.

I have a question about frame extensions for the T. Was there a "kit" for this or did you...

Peter, got the brakes working great!! You just have to keep tweaking them a little at a time, getting slack out of the connections (so they don't rattle) and be sure they don't drag. I adjusted my transmission brake to come on just after the AC's and have good stopping results. Rich and Larry are gr...

My 14 touring has a board under the rear seat, hinged at the back, about 1/4 inches thick. From the look of it, it was added at some time in the past life of the car by a PO. I drilled a "finger" hole in the front edge to make it easier to lift up. The area is really handy for small item storage. Ya...

Does anyone know where I can locate an article on engine repair that was written by Milt Webb (I think)? In the article he continually stressed the importance of checking the fit of the 4th main.
