All Texas T alternators I have put out 13.6 volts when new and still do. One is 10 years old. The oldest battery of the 3 is 5 years old.

I use a water pressure washer with $60 suction hose and blast nozzle attachment. Do it outside, no dust, can use sand. Surface rust appears quickly and needs to be primed immediately. Good for frames to small parts. Works ok for me. Only issue is the recovery of the media is almost non existent.

I sent a generator to him a couple of years ago. He did a refresh on it and used some of the parts that tested OK that really did not need rebuilt. It's still going strong today. He left it up to me as to what I wanted repaired verses replaced.

I have one on my 27 roadster and love it. Very solid, very little vibration. When looking in the mirror, if one car is following you, you see one car, not 5 because of vibration!

Make sure you have a ground wire running from the distributor to the block. I had the same issue and burned points until I added that wire. I guess it is because the shaft fit from distributor head to the base is so darn loose, especially on the Texas T Part set up.

Been shopping for some new tires. Went to several Model T suppliers. Basically, all of the prices are the same. However, Universal tire has free shipping now until July 5. That's about a $20 per tire savings if you have them shipped.

Has anyone ever seen or used a deflector for the oval exit end of the cast iron end cap type muffler? Pictures might help. I need to get the exhaust away from the juice brake line that runs over the top of the axle going to the rear disc brake caliper.

Yes, that's the rod. I just don't remember seeing it on current applications, such as some newer sure stops I have seen recently. I am going to put one on just to satisfy my own concerns. And maybe the newer ones don't require the extra support. Or may no one has noticed the movement.

Sorry for not posting Ohio.
The heated building is major as there is sometimes snow and cold weather there that time of year. It's the only swap meet we attend where the organizers go out of their way to make sure the vendors have everything they need. Like helping unload your stuff if needed!

I had same issue a few years back. Even tried another Petronic unit to no avail. Went back to points, no missing. It' gonna be rainy with temps in the mid 40's. A great day to be inside at a swap meet and having fun! No snow this year!

Only 14 days until the 10th anniversary swap meet in Marietta, Ohio.
Meet starts at 7:00 am and goes until 3:00 pm.
