Re: Early Coil box identification

The box on the right is a 1912 Heinze box with the coils arranged in mismatched fashion. The earlier Heinze coils in 1911 used a separate post to "ground" the top, and had combinations of more screws to hold the tops down. The Heinze company must have been a favorite of whoever was selling blueprint...

Re: I texted a friend asking "How was Chickasha today?"....

Yes, it’s the end. I was in the North building which was condensed so the spaces were relatively full. Sold a TON of parts, everything I brought. You can’t find a better audience for parts and tools than Chickasha was. That said, it’s also fair to say that most of the stuff that’s been swapped has b...

Re: 40 DAYS TILL CHICKASHA 3-15-16-2024

I plan to be there with literally tons of Model T iron to sell, plus rebuilt coils and lots of tall tales to tell. Come swap lies and parts. You might even find something you need.

Re: Who is restoring 1911 Heinze coils?

Hi, I run Midnight Coil Repair. I am only periodically active on the forum. Happy to help with Heinze coils. I currently have two sets under the knife, with one ready to ship back to the customer. I do have openings on the bench. Feel free to get in touch with the email address above, or you're welc...

Re: No pictures from Chickasha?

I was too busy buying, selling and swapping lies to take pictures. It was a seller’s market this year, just like last year. Those that came to sell had fair prices on things and those that came to buy were willing to pay them. Early T parts as always were in high demand. I saw an early (09-10) pan o...

Re: R V Andersons’s businesses

To be clear, I did not buy any of RV’s operations. I have been working with Mike Kossor and also with Lang’s to be able to setup coils on a dedicated Heinze ECCT with new points available through Lang’s. I’m not currently working on anything other than Heinze or K-W / Ford coils. I’m glad to hear Be...

Re: R V Andersons’s businesses

I have taken on the services RV used to offer for Heinze Coils. I cannot replace windings, but can offer recap services, tuning, hardware, points, etc.
