Re: Winged Pyramid cancelled by Henry due to misspelling

Good catch on the Garford script error, I will let Mike know about the error. It’s funny, but until you mentioned he had the same emblem listed I didn’t know it was there. It’s interesting to see another one even though I still wish there was some information on it!

Re: Winged Pyramid cancelled by Henry due to misspelling

Interesting is that cloisonne or enameled pin. Is the makers mark an "S' or does that mfg name marked in full? Might be a reproduction piece. Absolutely 100% genuine, it has the makers mark in full as is described here: http://www.americanautoemblems.com/p/emblem-manufacturers-and-their-marks.html ...

Re: Winged Pyramid cancelled by Henry due to misspelling

I’ve only shared this with one good Ford friend and I swore him to secrecy at the time because it was part of my father’s estate and I didn’t have it in hand at the time so I couldn’t verify the makers marks… I finally have it back so here’s the background: It was purchased at Hershey from John Webs...

Bill, that original Ford puller has a 5-Z-1172 number on it, but it is hard to see.
GEE-WIZ JIM, how did you know that so quickly? (Personal joke, please ignore me)

Engine Babbitt

Does anyone know who took over George King’s business in CT? Or if there’s a reputable rebabbiting shop in the Carolina’s?

Thank you,
Mark

Re: HCCT value

I picked mine up around 1980 for $50. Don Lang made a comment at the time that I wasted my money restoring it... funny how times change, but if someone came around with $1250 in cash I think they would be walking away with it. I have not seriously used it in the last few years.

Re: HCCT questions - every other spark stronger

You might have one dead coil on the mag ring, something tells me this came up with mine and I had to rebuild the ring.... that was 35 years ago, and a bit shaky on reflection so let’s wait for the gurus to chime in.
