Who sells good choke springs? The current batch I have are way too strong. They have about double the tension they should have,

I will call Langs and see what they know, I bought some a few years ago but I don’t remember where, The quality was pretty good but I have used them all.

Who makes/sells the 26 throttle plates with the tabs instead of holes?

We had a seminar on rear end component inspection at the February meeting of the Central Wisconsin Chapter of the MTFCI.

The coil is for improving cold weather starting. Back to the real question. Does anyone have the original instructions.

Does anyone have a copy of the original instructions for the Simmons, Wizard, Duplex type carburetors. What I am looking for are the recommendations for wiring the heating element.

My has been in there for 100 years. The pin is tight. Back to the question. Any ideas on how to remove it.

Anyone have any good way to remove a seized triple gear bushing off the pin?

Tractor Unit is stamped on the narrow side of the coils.

The problem I have is backing up in a crowd of people with the top up. Yes, I am running coils. What I am looking for is a 12v hard wired backup camera. I thought someone may have tried one.

Allen. It’s a 21 to 25 type. It’s a shortened housing with a Ruckstell center that I want to convert back to a standard length unit.
Shortening housings to make snowmobiles was common around here.

Is the P139 thrust plate interchangeable between the Hal Scott and the Ruchstell? The Hall Scott internal gear is shorter than the Ruckstell.

As long as we are talking about lifters What are these? The smooth ones are a little less than 5/8" and the banded ones are about 11/16" diameter.

I am disassembling a 26 engine and two of the exhaust valves are rusty and won't come out. Has anyone tried heat and rapid cooling to free them up or can they be cut off and drilled out?

I have a K R Wilson A335. It has a stepped mandrel with 1.465, 1.486, 1.491, and 1.498 diameters. I Assume this is for a model A. What is the adjustable stop for?

I have taken two generators apart lately that have two bearings in front. The rear bearing acts as a spacer as the shaft shoulder is set back. What's the deal.

The late 23 and 24 had wood doors. the 25 had steel doors. The door posts were not constructed the same.

This reminds me of your "What it takes to change a spark plug" you posted a few years ago. I think you should update that and by the way add
" I've never tried it but I know it won't work"

Has anyone had any luck soldering a loose terminal bolt to the buss bar without removing it form the buss bar to clean it? How have you been repairing them without replacing the assembly.

I have a Motometer and a sensor in the water inlet to the block. That tells me if the radiator is doing what it is supposed to do.

This is the way the Central Wisconsin Chapter does it. Outside around a fire watching it snow at 28 F and working on emptying several cans of fluid.

Did all of the bowl side drain types have the long throttle and choke levers?
When did they change the orientation of the data plate from reading from the outside to reading it from the inside?
It appears the side drains were one way and the later ones the other.

What kind of carb?

I use a cart so I can push it in and out of my shop. I also us a garden hose for the water supply.

I ran a set for several thousand miles. The ones I had ran pretty good. I would do it again if the price had not gone way up. The tube is filled with foam. No, you cannot save the tires. Take a Sawzall to them to get them off.

This is the frame for both A and Ts. You slide the frame over into the next hole in the cam spacer. I have talked to Gene about it.

The hard linings in the large drum work OK when wet.

Does anyone know what woven linings will work on Rocky Mountain brakes when wet? I relined a large drum set a few years ago with a woven linings. I could lock them up on pavement when dry but were useless when wet. I need to reline a small drum set and would like to use the woven linings.

Has anyone run a DU 4 without an impulse coupling

Here is what they look like.

I have two unmarked front plate distributors. One is missing the cam gear. The what I am looking for is information on the sizes of available replacements such as Bosch, Atwater Kent, and Delco. Does anyone have dimensions on these?

The there is a range of diameters and tooth counts. What I am trying to find out is what brand of the currently available replacements would fit the cam position.

Does anyone have a list of gears that go on the cam for different brands as far as: Diameter, No. of Teeth, Width etc. I am trying to find out which one has 16 teeth and is 1 3/8" dia. but would like to know the size of others also.

I have been running a 280 with adjustable lifters for a few years.
