I use distilled water with an anti-corrosion additive, I think I used "Water Wetter". I also heard water soluble oil (cutting oil) added to distilled water will retard corrosion. So the "Yorkville" K is now blue? It looks great in blue. Do you know what color it was when it left the factory?

I believe I saw the car at the Sandwich show multiple years. It certainly made a big impression on me.

    Re: New pre 1920 Screwdrivers

There is a screwdriver on eBay now, if you search on the part number you should be able to find the listing. It is not perfect, and at $50, not cheap. The photos on the listing are clear and sharp, so if nothing else you can get a good photo of the proper screwdriver.

    Re: Hand Brake extension

I have the above handle installed on my 1915 roadster. It works great for moving the lever forward to engage 2nd gear, and also for releasing 2nd gear. It is awkward for engaging the emergency / hand brake. When the lever is pulled all the way back, the extension handle does not clear my seat. Since...

My car also came with an uninstalled top when I bought it, and earlier this month I finally had it installed. The top kit did not have the roll up rear window. I had my top installer add two zippers to the rear panel, so that I can have the increased visibility in good weather of a roll up rear wind...

    MTFCI 2019 Red Dirt Tour

I had the opportunity to ride in the back seat of Forum Member Gil Fitzhugh's 1914 Touring on the "Red Dirt Tour" held on Prince Edward Island Canada. I can definitely say that there was no false advertising in the tour title. Here are a few photos of the week.

A 1961 Desoto. Last year for Desoto. Production stoped in late 1960 I believe. I think only about 3000 1961 model year DeSotos were produced. A 1961 convertible would be a rare car.

I took my car to 2 car shows. The first was the Midwest Region Breakfast run, the second a celebration of Elgin Industries 100 year anniversary. Elgin Industries was a supplier of piston pins to Ford in 1919. The employees were happy to see a nice selection of Vs including a 1919. Since both shows w...
